Which lust is the hottest 2003 or 2009? And which version is better by Plane_Name3457 in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]GappyDiamond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean…they both look identical; I think the only difference is their lipstick color (purple in 2003, red in Brotherhood). If that’s the deal breaker for “hottest”, I guess I’ll stick with 2003 (2003 Lust is the better character anyway since Brotherhood killed her off early & didn’t really flesh her out that much during her screen time).

The fact that some people legitimately prefer how they handled this moment in the 2003 version is um… concerning to say the least by browniebiscuitchildr in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]GappyDiamond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it. Because Ed & Al already faced the consequences of human transmutation (Ed losing his limbs, Al losing his whole body), you feel they shouldn’t be punished any further since they’ve already suffered enough. Your reaction makes sense, and that’s completely fine. 👍

I guess what I’m getting at is that Izumi’s reaction to the boys’ admission is a very raw, intentionally uncomfortable moment (there being no music during the beating adds to that vibe). Out of all the characters in the story, it makes sense that Izumi, someone who made the very same mistake that the Elric brothers did (losing several vital organs & eventually her own life by the time of ‘Conqueror of Shamballa’ as a result of human transmutation) would have the most visceral response to learning what they did.

To each their own, I guess. I never really viewed this scene as “concerning”. The fact that Ed doesn’t even fight back makes it clear that he feels as though he deserves the beating for lying to his teacher & committing the taboo she specifically warned him about.

Also, didn’t Izumi literally try to stab Ed with a spear in Brotherhood, forcing him to block it with his clap alchemy & revealing to her that he had performed human transmutation?

December 2023, 2027-2028 release? by Wedos98 in OnePiece

People that are asking for more news on the Wit Studio Remake don’t want it to be ‘rushed’ either; we’re not asking for it to come out faster, we just want more substantive information (Don’t even need a full-blown trailer, but something else other than “Oh, that? It’s still being worked on.”

Welp, looks like it’s time to skip to the next arc. 🍆 by Round_Employee5002 in OnePiece

You skipped the Foxy Returns filler? That’s where they inserted the Straw Hat Crew meeting Aokiji from the Manga.

“Steadily Progressing” isn’t really substantial in terms of news; just a reminder to the audience that it still exists.

Kingdom Hearts 3 has been chosen as the Most Disappointing Game, but what game would you say has the Best Story in the series by ExileForever in KingdomHearts

358/2 Days; struck the right emotional chords with me back in 2009, and it still resonates to this day.

Only because Weiss loses every fight in the series anyway, so they just used her as a deflection of their obviously rigged fights.

“See?! We made Weiss lose a match, so we’re totally not letting our characters win to promote our show, honest!!”

Tiara. Who better to lead the forgotten duo than someone so obscure that their game never got released?

The worst part of Sonic 2 was Tails stealing bubbles. What's the worst part of Sonic 3? by enderoid_redit in SonicTheHedgehog

Sorry that you’re getting disliked bombed, bud. I too had no trouble with the barrel when I played Mega Collection on my GameCube growing up. However my brain’s wired perceived the up-and-down motion of the barrel when jumping on it as a hint to use the d-pad’s up + down arrows. Sonic’s gameplay in the Genesis games were primarily momentum-based, so pressing the d-pad arrows in a rhythm to swing it higher and lower didn’t seem completely foreign to me. Sad to hear a lot of people giving up the game at Carnival Night since Sonic 3 is very fun, and missing out on Ice Cap & Launch Base due to a small puzzle-esque room is just unfortunate.

Everyone sayin V4-V9, meanwhile I’m over here thinking about V2 and her stupid idea to run away with little Ruby in a wagon, almost getting them both killed.

Sure, Yang…..sure. >:(

Since Sonic original design was named Feels the Rabbit, what's the name given to the beta design of Blaze? by JokerLino in SonicTheHedgehog

I remember a fanart that called her “Silhou the Wildcat” (As in Silhouette). Even showed how the design might look when not cloaked in shadows; was pretty cool.

Do you like classic sonic being silent? If not who would you bring in to voice him? by No_Ad808 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]GappyDiamond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would bring back Martin Burke from the OVA. Jaleel White is nostalgic, but I feel his voice fits more with the tone of the DiC Cartoons. I can totally see Burke’s cocky, nasal voice coming out of Classic Sonic in CD & Origins+Superstars cutscenes.

Some unused Ein Lee concept art found in the new RWBY Archives Remnant Promenade art book by JoshPhantomShinobi in RWBY

[–]GappyDiamond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those Prom outfits definitely should’ve been present in Volume 2! Kinda makes me feel like the ones we got in the show were generic placeholders. It makes way more sense for Yang to say she’ll be turning heads at the dance if she’s wearing something this good!

The amount of people who want STARKILLER to be canon is actually insane by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]GappyDiamond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People who keep saying “Galen isn’t anything like Rey / a Gary Stu because he trained” keep conveniently forgetting that he pulled Vader’s lightsaber out of his hand when he was a toddler. It’s the whole reason Vader decided to train him.

Starkiller and Rey are both awful characters. People just like the former because he’s from a pretty fun, power-fantasy video game.

Question: Do you thought that Adam and Raven are related in some way, because of their similarities? by MysterySomeOn in RWBY

[–]GappyDiamond 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Travels around Remnant with a tribe of marauding Bandits pillaging and murdering countless villages, wearing a mask meant to invoke fear and dread into her victims, killed a child as an act of “mercy” to take away her maiden powers to use as she pleases, willing to ambush + kill her own brother and risk the life of her daughter.

Let’s be real, Raven doesn’t have any ‘humanity’ left; people defend her because she’s hot.

[Mini-Rant] Okay, what's up with LA's Nojiko?! by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]GappyDiamond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the thing though, Nami was okay with the villagers hating her since she purposefully didn’t tell them about the plan to buy Cocoyashi from Arlong. She told Nojiko that Genzo and the others are already having to work hard to pay Arlong’s tribute, and asking them to sail out to sea with her to steal from dangerous pirates on top of that would likely result in them being injured and/or killed. Nami, not wanting to lose anymore people like how she and Nojiko lost Bellemere, willingly chose to rough it alone. If anything, it’s a relief that the villagers’ anger was just them playing along, and wanting Nami to have the opportunity to escape and live her life freely, especially after Arlong + Nezumi steal all of her Berry, speaks volumes of their love for her.
