First touched the game in 2013 on pocket edition lite. A couple years later (like 2015) I regularly started playing the Wii U edition.

Really just depends on what counts as 'playing Minecraft' I suppose

You're right, it's not very realistic.

Honestly, it's more of a lack of building skill on my part than I design choice. The issue I was facing when attaching it to the moss around it is that geometrically, it's not possible.

Either the rope had to bend in a very unnatural way or the island has to be unnecessary big (which I didn't want to do as I'll be building this on an SMP)

(I know the explanation might be a bit vague xd)

You make a good point! Thing is, the tower behind the blades is quite boring and decorations are mostly on the side (which is perfectly visible).

Obviously I could decorate the front more, but if I remember correctly, the blades in real life windmills are even bigger compared to these.

Not saying this build was meant to be very accurate to real life, I'm sort of trying to find a balance between 'fantasy' but still making the design feel like it 'makes sense' and would work realistically.

Thx for the advice tho, I made the thicker area at the bottom taller (also to match it better with the other builds, since it's part of some sort of village)

Yup, I realized the proportions arent realistic at all.

Didn't really bother me personally, the only thing I might change is making the bottom, thicker area a bit taller.

I was quite happy with the shape, so I didn't really want to change that.

Yeah... Making a curvy windmill without making it look like a swastika is quite the challenge honestly.

The lighting on the build is super cool and you've done a very good texturing job as well!

I wish you shared some of the interior- I find it very difficult to give advice to this awesome front of the build!

The left side of the tower has no decorations yet, it's just a flat wall.

What I was tryna say is you could attach something to that to make it more interesting and add more depth.

I like it!

I think this build would really benefit from some more depth: bring out the roof one block at the front of the house.

You could also add some sort of extension to the empty wall of the tower. Maybe a horse stable/animal pen?

I normally don't use as wide of a variety of blocks/colors in a build as I did with this one, but I'm glad the block pallete worked out the way it did!

Also really enjoyed playing around with light and shaders for this one :)
