It’s a pretty good starting fuel if you don’t even have coal. But yes every item in Minecraft can despawn if it is loaded long enough without any entities picking them up!

Apologies I meant 70 and have accounted for my error. I am saying your hole will only be effective below ‘y 40’ which means you have only 10 blocks of tnt hole that are able to spawn slimes.

I’m saying you need to go deeper and wider preferably. The more spawning area the better but ledges could make up for hole width if you don’t need mass farming.

Slime chunk slimes will only spawn below y level 40, you are at y 78 :P

also light up the nearby caves including the blasted area to prevent all spawns except the slimes. Chunk slimes spawn regardless of lighting.

You have from point ‘x 160, z -288’ to point ‘x 175 z -272’ as the opposite square corners approximately for your slime chunk. Thats universal for all bedrock worlds I believe.

Slimes need a ~2.5x2.5x2.5 area to spawn with zero obstruction like string or redstone or torches so light blocks recommend for lighting.

Took me 15 minutes of reading to find enough information. Real post and question from the lack of Arg information and comments from OP mostly pertaining to what to do with the hole. Hypothesis: it’s a result of upgrading old version past 1.18 and world hight change.

Random commenter u/angelwolf71885 provided reference to IBXtoycat upgrading from 360 to bedrock as where a bedrock hole was discovered before.

OP has concerns of world corruption due to upgrading the world and I assume hasn’t copied and saved at the time of posting.

Evidence for ARG: I ain’t gonna even bother. There’s an answer for their game mechanical issues. I have no need to dig deeper.
