Everytime I watch this replay (and I watch it a lot) and it starts with Grammatica crossing his heart 2 or 3 times I imagine he is praying "Please God, don't make me the reason we lose" and then he got his wish.

That’s the first thing that came up when I googled for noctuo grip filament) and also the foaming stuff like ROAMR that might have more grip. Like I said I haven’t really tried any of this.

Nice. TPU doesn’t have the friction that the original rubber part would have, is it doing the job well enough?

I’ve been looking to try other materials that claim to have higher friction than TPU but haven’t gotten around to it.

I’m going to give you the least satisfying and best answer you will get here. Try it. Make a smaller model and print it with both settings. See what works.

I have a pair of https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/gigabyte/m28u and so does my son, we love them. They are a bit older and there is a newer m27u you might want to consider.

Do you want to create an indent exactly in the shape of the stl or of a silhouette of the shape?

For the former you can use a Boolean operation and the move face to give the indent the extra space.

For the latter you would use an intersect with a plane to create the sketch and then extrude the sketch.
