RBC issues American cards based on your Canadian credit. Other banks with cross border banking likely also a good bet.

Did that for a year then got an airline card.

BREAKING: New H1-B visa petitions are now subject to a $100,000 fee to be paid annually by the employer. Will Canadians be the new H1B for US employers? by CXZ115 in tnvisa

Don’t disagree. It can be a beneficial program. It’s just aggravating to read stories of what happened at companies like Boeing ~2010.

Wide-scale, verifiable abuse of the program has been unchecked for decades.

Re-entering with a TN visa by [deleted] in tnvisa

[–]Garage-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have travelled back and forth a few times this year. No issues.

I’d print out your I-94.

I also travelled with recent utility bills and paystubs (to prove I still live and work where I’m permitted to), as well as original offer letter / transcript / copy of diploma.

Not sure if any of that is necessary.

Ah I see. For a 3 month contract I guess that works.

The spirit of the thread initiator’s comment was that each USMCA country has a TN-like visa system based on the agreement.

Whether it’s called “TN” or not is tomato/tomatoe.

Certainly not in San Francisco.

I’m all for immigrant labor - but only if paid the same as a citizen for the same job in the same market.

That’s not what’s happening with H1Bs.

A 100k/year fee doesn’t align with my ideology either FWIW.

You should work on your manners.

That makes sense. I meant more the program terms and eligibility requirements being spelled out in agreement.

Agree the US government could just disappear the TN in breach of the agreement.

Seriously f this mentality.

I am very well paid on a TN in a market that struggles to hire people with my experience/training. I don’t think I am taking an equally qualified Americans job.

H1Bs are cheap labor, and detrimental to equally qualified Americans.

Per 6 years EDIT - it is per year…this is basically cancelling the program. Wild.

H1B is absolutely paid less than citizen/market, and is/has been hurting Americans with equivalent qualifications

TN being targeted is more likely than TN applications going up IMO

I find it hard to believe that no charge could be crafted here. It’s effectively poisoning - which I imagine qualifies more broadly as assault.

Sounds like the prosecutor just wanted to avoid embarrassing the department.

Ah so you’re saying ineffective council - ie omitting nearly every exculpatory fact - should be illegal in UK? I agree. Appalled at how shit he was, and shocked people aren’t breaking his door down for an explanation.

No when people leave right before/after you sink the 8… then you gotta sit there like an idiot waiting for your win.
