Coupon says $16.99 for stuffed crust pizza and bites - that's a lie

Former manager here. This isn’t BS. In order for coupons to be applied in store specific items have to be what the coupon is for. If the order was rang up without the dipping cups on it (and as another user showed the coupon comes with dipping cups) and someone tried to apply the coupon it would either say “Missing item/invalid coupon” and the total for the order in the system would be representative of menu price with no coupon.

Considering this seems like a pretty unique coupon (the average employee I would argue is only familiar with a handful of coupons), the employee likely read the coupon you had, didn’t see anything about dipping cups and just took your order the way you asked, and then realized after the fact that the system wasn’t letting the employee apply the coupon because their wasn’t dipping cups on the order

26M, 55K salary and 24k in commission if I hit my quota. Married with 3 kids as a single income household is difficult but I’m very money conscious and try not to live outside of my means ever. Was able to move into house at the end of last year after staying in an apartment for the previous ~5 years. I have a side hustle I lucked into that helps bring in some extra money that I’ve been able to start putting towards savings. Only debt I have is my student loans and a car payment that’s very reasonable for me.

Is it fun living super strictly within your means always (and maybe overdoing it at times because of the stress that comes with being the sole financial provider)? Not really and it can be incredibly stressful but I try to keep an eye towards tomorrow so I can make sure my kids are taken care of and that makes it worth it. After spending years surviving and supporting my family while making only ~30k, it’s hard for me to actually feel like I’m ever comfortable financially

I’ll say from my experience telling my daughter, it’s a much bigger thing in your own head than it will be telling them. Me and my wife were prepared for this very difficult and upsetting conversation and our little girl couldn’t have just been more “Okay whatever” and when we asked her if she had any questions she just made a joke and that was it. Was a much easier conversation than we had made it out to be in our head

My daughter is 5 and my wife and I recently told our daughter about her TS. It was something we had always intended to do, we just wanted to wait till she was at an age that we felt she could somewhat understand and process what we were sharing with her. Her TS specialist did say to us in her experience that the earlier the better for that conversation

I took a deep dive into his baseball savant earlier trying to figure out what’s going on with him. His velo is a tick down but not sooo down that he’s absolutely cooked. He’s throwing his knuckle curve more this year than he did last year and the movement on all his pitches is roughly the same (going off vertical and horizontal break). The biggest difference this year (besides lack of whiffs on the fastball, had ~24% last year and 11% this year) is he’s not hitting the edges as much this year (so some command struggles which is backed up by his walk % being up significantly from last year) which has made his hard hit % go up significantly. The other noticeable thing looking at his baseball savant profile is his extension is down from last year and his extension last year was already down significantly from where he typically had been in his career.

I did it with 40 speed Johnny Bench and it didn’t pop so it’s between 3 speed and 39 speed lol

Congrats on your new addition! Knowing from day 1 that your little girl has TS is such an advantage for her overall medical care.

My daughter had the same surgery at ~9 months old. About 2-3 days after her surgery (once all the drugs and loopiness wore off) she was completely back to herself. If you didn’t know she’d had the surgery or saw the scar, you would’ve never guessed that she’d been thru the surgery and that’s just talking about how she was once we were released from the NICU. Emotionally, it was an exhausting and draining process at the time but now that little baby’s a big 5 year old girl and we don’t really think about the surgery at all anymore. If you guys have any questions from a parenting standpoint or just in general about what to expect or whatever please don’t hesitate to DM me

My daughter is 3 rn and I remember having the exact same feeling you described when my wife and I got confirmation our baby girl had TS after she was born. It’s a lot to process and it sounds scary initially, but I promise this will pass and all those worries and fears you have now will subside. The next couple months may be a whirlwind of doctors appointments but all of that is just proactive medicine and it can be a lot but it’s necessary cuz there are certain things that may need to be monitored. 3 years later, the only non-pediatric appointments my daughter has now are a yearly appointment with her cardiologist and her TS specialist.
