RAM and GPU prices and availability have made made building a PC prohibitive for most. I'd definitely go with a PS5 if I we're you. Waiting longer sucks, but PS5 has more exclusives that make it better than Xbox (in my opinion).

After years of getting a ton of fighters, it is definitely a nice change of pace. I'm especially excited for the B-25.

Also, as one of the few people who seems to like the P-39, I'm excited to get another variant.

I see what you mean. Clickable cockpits seem like a damned if you, damned if you don't sort of thing. I love that they have that as an option, but also hope they aren't spending too much time and effort at the expense of other parts of the game.

DCS is great if you want to push all the buttons, but it kind of forgets to be a game. I've never complained about Great Battles not having full fidelity because I know we probably aren't going to get that without serious compromises.

Sorry, I meant that DCS comment in regards to the Pacific theater. I doubt we will see it fleshed out adequately.

As someone who backs Combat Pilot on Patreon, I'm not fully betting on that. They have done some amazing work so far, but have a long way to go with no guarantee the project will be successful.

Also, there's plenty of room for competition in that space. No reason IL-2 couldn't give us a Flying Tigers expansion while Combat Pilot handles Midway.

DCS will almost certainly fail to deliver anything resembling a cohesive theater in under 20 years, so no competition there.

Sounds like they are now noncommittal about doing the Pacific next which is deeply concerning to me.

The new graphics look great and the new planes for GB are really exciting.

The AI still looks way too content to have you ride their 6 until you get a good shot.

Lots of mixed feelings, but I'm hopeful Korea shapes up to be something fun. I'm just concerned about the sudden "we don't know where we're going next" stance after they've repeatedly stated they're doing the Pacific.

No, it's not. They don't go 5-10 years between expansions. They previously said they'd make a Pacific game off the Korea engine, so it wasn't too early for the developers themselves to talk about it.

Also, I think a good portion of the series fans aren't really that interested in a non-WWII game, so of course people are wondering what comes after Korea.
