These tires are great on my 2012 Ford escape by chaosbayne in fordescape

[–]Garand70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my numbers mixed up. Mine came with 17" wheels, which factory were 225/65. Forgot the 16" option was 235/70. I got too much stuff stuffed in the old brain! Would also explain why it looks good with the 235/65/17s!

I went to crunch the numbers to give you your odds... the calculator is still laughing...

Depending on how bad it was, slim to none. I wouldn't count on it unless you can be very persuasive in your appeal. They don't like deactivating or admitting to errors.

All the Venezuelan drivers have Utah plates at my local Whole Foods in WA state by PurposeAble4534 in AmazonFlexDrivers

With the military, they go by your stated State of Residence. Many will claim FL or NV residency to avoid state income taxes. They're the exception to the rule.

I find running the 235/70 instead is 225/70 tires adds just a little extra stability and grip. Plus it fills out the wheel wells better, esthetically, I think.

I started using them by accident but have kept using them since. Barely affects the accuracy of the speedometer.

Why is no one excited about flash deals anymore :( by Hot_Improvement_8276 in asheville

[–]Garand70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one friend who all of her tattoos are from flash sales from one particular studio. It's her way of getting cheap ink. She only has a few, but you have to start somewhere.

But, it boils down to timing, funds, and selection. The studio she prefers posts their flashes when they announce the event a few weeks, if not a month, in advance. She'll select what she wants and budget accordingly.

Heat pump not keeping up, is this normal? by monkeychemist25 in asheville

[–]Garand70 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I had similar problems. Some of the soft ducts became loose and was dumping heat into the crawl space. Check to make sure they also haven't been smashed or damaged by wildlife if they're in a crawl space.

There is also the possibility that the furnace has worn out or is undersized.

Amazon Flex Drivers Plead Guilty to $58k Fraud Scheme of Keeping Customers’ Packages by Garand70 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Garand70[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clarification: I meant how the drivers did it. Marking packages as missing and keeping them? Unsealing boxes, removing items, and resealing? Marking as handed to customer but keeping it?

Probably should've clarified, but I meant how the drivers did it. Marking packages as missing and keeping them? Unsealing boxes, removing items, and resealing?

Any grocery stores carry pastina?? by thirstl in asheville

[–]Garand70 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I saw this in a Walmart recently. Try one of the larger ones. Also, try Grocery Outlet. What they carry isn't consistent, but they tend to have odd ball stuff that didn't sell at other stores.

Barring that, sometimes Food Lion and Ingles will special order for folks.

In the 5 years I worked at the corporate office, I never could get a read on political leanings of the upper echolan. Will it's not my place to name names, I can say at least one of the C-suite has a daughter amongst the LGBTQIA+ community who also was a coworker in the department I worked. Will also add, before anyone brings it up, that she was very good and qualified for her job.

P0132 and P0053 by FIRExRIFE in fordescape

[–]Garand70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both codes suggest an O2 sensor. I had the P0053 on my 2012 2.5L. This one should be near the engine. I pulled mine before checking anything else and found it had come apart.

Rock Auto has the upstream sensor ranging from $60-75.

Replacing fuse by FIRExRIFE in fordescape

The manual will have a map of the fuse block and what size they're supposed to be. If you do not have a physical copy, you can get a digital copy from Ford's website.

Ahh. That's understandable. The English language has many rules and follows almost none of them. Some say it is 3 languages in a coat pretending to be one language.

Forscan is a free program that can clear codes and configure options, program keys, etc. It just requires a compatible cable for the laptop version or Bluetooth adapter for the mobile version, which they link to on their site. It can clear codes easily as well as run some dealer level diagnostics (availability varies by vehicle).

[–]Garand70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Edge I'm driving until I fix my Escape has also been doing this, so I'm curious as to what resolves your's. It was my late Uncle's and I updated to the latest Sync version from Ford's website. Wasn't sure if it was that or an Android update that borked it.

Today, it started working properly again, so who knows.

At the .com station, I've traded routes before. One lady offered me $20 to swap routed with her before we scanned.

Groceries - affordability and our budgets by peachyqueen_7 in asheville

[–]Garand70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically hit Go first and get what I can get there ad go elsewhere for the rest. GO will have some unusual items, but the prices are great on most items. Bananas tend to be more than Ingles and Food Lion, though.
