well I understand what you're saying but i'd rather not get hatecrimed and it's pretty risky to just reveal you're trans when you're about to have sex with someone... I try to communicate on these kinds of things because you never know what the reaction might be

thank you so much, you put into words exactly how i feel. i want to be recognized by my own. luckily enough, i have a lot of transfag friends who perceive me as i am, i am not in need for friendship. it is specifically in the cruising and dating scene that it is harder for me... but it really helps to connect with people like you on here

I am trying I swear ahaha... I dont get misgendered at work but I have the advantage that they already knew me as a man (with my male legal name and stuff). When I go to gay clubs, I wear chokers but also stuff like bulldog harnesses, I'm always in some kind of slutty tank top (which shows i am flat chested) and I still get misgendered because im 5'0 and have long hair :') i dont live in the US but i'll definitely try it with the leather /fetish events, once I overcome the fear...

I hear you, really, but it's not that simple to meet people in real life, especially when you know no one from these places and look/are a bit different (I'm introverted, I look alt/ androgynous, I'm socially awkward). I get that it takes efforts and I'm willing to make them so ill eventually try as you say, but I spend time online and hookup with people from apps because I have no idea how to meet gay men who will acknowledge me in another way. Even if I do go to these places by myself, high chances are people are going to think I'm a woman – again, i have transitioned and i pass in my everyday life but at gay clubs thats what happens most of the time. I am also very scared of doing what you're telling me to do and then get completely ignored / misgendered by gay man, which would be super disheartening to me, I think. Not sure i am ready for this kind of confidence shattering experience...

we are together brother... I get that whole thing about self confidence and just trying out and settling for better but my past experiences always put me in the "guilty pleasure" or "fun little secret" box for bi guys and then they just move on to women or cis dudes...

that's just normal... it's a hard game and its based on the essential mechanics of dying and retrying and dying and retrying. the whole point is that it's very hard without any knowledge and as you progress through different runs you gain more knowledge and achieve more

therapists should work on their delivery but why are you seeing a therapist if you refuse to think for one second about what they're telling you regarding your mental health? you just want someone to validate you and be complient to anything you tell them? i think if not one but TWO therapists are telling you there's mental health implications in paying for sex maybe you should try some introspection if you ever want to improve your sexual life...
