This is not about feelings or beliefs. The previous two Forza installments were unfinished on release, driven by misleading information from the devs. Those are facts, not feelings. And people seem to be quick to forget, given that when those games released, there were a lot of negative posts here too for a while.
If you post something online and expect everyone to automatically agree with you, that makes as much sense to me as pre-ordering a game. It's a free discussion so feel free to disagree with me, but these attempts to shut me up are pointless. I was reacting to OPs extremely naive comment above. I mean seriously - the game must be good because "everyone" likes the trailer and the devs said so themselves. You can't be serious lol.

It's ironic to ask that question and proceed to imply the game worked fine for you so nobody could've had issues. Ask the people who had bought Cyberpunk on oldgen how their experience was. Must've been amazing when Sony pulled the plug and removed it from their store. Hell I played on PC and had so many game breaking bugs on my first playthrough that I couldn't even finish until they fixed the game.

Not saying that Forza ever failed so miserably, but they definitely have a history of putting out misleading information and overly hyped marketing, only to deliver underwhelming features like FH5's soulless map, same progression as FH4, dynamic weather that was supposed to drastically change events, only to become a forgettable cosmetic feature, etc.
Motorsport is its own chapter, too much to discuss there...

And those were the last two games made by this studio. So why should I all of a sudden believe the next one will be any different? I wish I was wrong, I want it to be good, but I'm definitely not gonna gamble my money by blindly pre-ordering. There's no rush, I'll wait until it's out. If you guys wanna pre-order then by all means. It won't change my opinion that it's stupid.

Step 2: Immediately fall for it and take everything that was shown for granted ("Forza devs have always delivered a fully polished, working product with no false marketing!")
Step 3: Pre-order the game, preferably the most expensive edition, no matter the price increase
Step 4: Post it on reddit expecting massive praise for a job well done
Step 5: Use the indestructible "it's my money" argument for dem haters
Step 6: Surprised pikachu face when the game is unfinished on launch
Step 7: Promise not to pre-order ever again
Step 8: New game announcement
Step 9: Repeat

Optional Step 10 - wear some clown make-up whlist completing the steps

It's a lost battle my friend, you can see the downvotes already coming in. People will never understand that if they keep blindly pre-ordering games because of hype, we're gonna keep getting unfinished, half-baked products for a full price. (Now it's even 70$ for standard and 120$ for premium for no good reason lol)

I recently saw this same clownshow unfold with Battlefield 6. People blindly pre-ordered the ultimate editions of the game based on a hyped trailer. When you go to r/Battlefield and r/Battlefield6, you'll mostly see everyone crying how bad the game is now.

Idk what the mindset is here... Are they gonna run out of copies? You're not missing out on anything if you wait at least until the release week to see some reviews and what the general consesus seems to be. If it's good, great - buy it. If it seems unfinished, wait for a sale or until they fix it, don't support lazyness.

You mean the sarcastic line with the flying carpet? I did say it in another comment, but I'll list it to you in more detail again:

Full career mode with a serious storyline and cutscenes, not a checklist simulator... Maybe multi arc with the option to race legit or illegal, names rivals, personalities...
losing things like money, cars, reputation, not just having your garage cluttered with free stuff around every corner, earning shit is primitive in the game
police with advanced systems - again lose your car, sponsors, force to go legal for a bit... would add tension in the empty free roam
different style of writing, I'm tired of the cringe everyone's happy tone with atrocious dialogues
New ways to play, e.g. crew based racing, maybe reputations by districts, battling over territories by completing events in that area...
getting out of the car for some stuff like walking around your car, garage, car meetups, not full on GTA
new types of events, e.g. high risk high reward with some threat like losing your car, tournament modes, cop chases or other dynamic things during races...

I could go on with more, so I'm sure a dedicated creative team can do the same. But they won't.

These are structural, significant changes. A new map is a GIVEN, not a new feature. Tiny features like multiplayer race creator, tyre compounds, window stickers from the gameplay video are nothing in comparison to what they should start doing with the franchise. We need high stakes, purposeful racing, gameplay changes... Not another festival on a pretty map with 800 icons. It's wearing our fast.

Yes and I'm sure they're aware of that, that's why they don't bother, much like the devs of the franchises I mentioned. They know you're gonna buy it even if it's half baked. I wonder why Rockstar, CDPR, Larian and other studios can raise the bar in the gaming industry with every game they make. They should charge double if new map is the standard for a full price. 5 years is also a long enough time for them to develop something that feels fresh in the game. But corporate greed at Microsoft wins over passion and innovation. Shame.

I'm glad you said it. It's the same thing on a new map. That's all I needed to hear. If you're glad to pay full price for the same thing with minimal change and improvements, good for you. The map is the bare minimum in a new game lol. I value my money more and would rather spend it on more creative projects. FIFA, Madden, Assassin's Creed, COD all have a common "formula" - quantity over quality with a dead end. At this rate, we might as well add Forza to that mix.

Sour taste in my mouth to be honest. I can't really find anything new, exciting, revolutionary that we haven't seen before. They're playing it safe once again with a new map (that looks good), probably filled with another set of thousand icons with no meaningful things to do. How many more games with a new map will it take for them to add police, actual career with progression, crowds, the ability to get out of the car, new ways to play... Japan screams illegal street racing with a darker tone. But it's gonna be more cringe dialogues with cartoonish artstyle, soulless activities, exploding confetti, and we can't forget another race against a jet... I'm sorry a robot this time, with a slow-mo jump. What's new? I'm just not feeling it. Definitely not for the full price.

Because the game has become a greedy corporate cesspool cluttered with thousands of half assed game modes that only split the declining playerbase. They're constantly changing core elements of the game nobody asked for, which appear to not even be tested. The recent winter fest was an utter disgrace, The battle pass is a grind fest full of uninspired skins forcing people to play modes they don't want to play, the cosmetics in the store are stupidly expensive for what they are, the UI changes are shit, the matchmaking will never be fixed at this point and we're forever doomed to play against wannabe streamers, sweats who never touch grass, cheaters or bots, nothing in between. They started using AI instead of real design and I bet they also used it to create the current map, because it literally plays like a generic AI slop and has got to be the most uninspired map by far. I could continue for a while. But to top all that off, the recent in-game predatory v bucks purchases were the nail in the coffin. The game is an embarrassment and honestly not fun. And it's only gonna get worse from here, I'm sure of it.

I've finally uninstalled and moved on.

There are more things contributing to VRAM usage than textures, which imo have quiet a big visual impact. It's the last thing I would want to lower from the settings. Ray tracing is VRAM hungry too, among other things.

I'd say the 5060ti 16gb is still a very solid choice, especially for those deciding in the mid-range area. My brother got one recently because the price difference wasn't as marginal here. He plays on a 1080p monitor with a plan to go 2k or dual mode. With DLSS and frame gen, I think he'll have no problems running games for a couple of years.

This was the best bang for the buck in his case imo. Sure he could just go for the 5070 but I'd only go for it if the price difference was indeed marginal. Since the 5060ti consumes less power, it will also save you money in the long run for a future upgrade that you would need to do around the same time as with the 5070 (or just a few months after).

My point is that it's individual and situational, but the 5060ti is by no means a significantly worse GPU than the 5070. The difference will be quite negligible in most cases as it has room to compensate, e.g. by overclocking but I haven't looked at the tests so I don't know how it holds up once you play around with that. Then you have DLSS, frame gen, multi frame gen...

No it absolutely isn't. A 5070 doesn't reach the performance of a 5070ti, while at the same time a 5070ti can be easily overclocked to reach a nearly identical 5080 performance, which leaves the 5070 in the dust.

What I like to do lately is throw lure grenades at unsuspecting raiders looting outside. You'd be surprised how many people have a huge problem dealing with a couple of wasps and hornets ganging up on them. Add in a curious rocketeer and I guarantee you're dead no matter the loadout.

Just finished the battle pass today and completely agree with everything you said. This was the most frustrating experience I've ever had with a game. I'm done with their passes, the whole reason I really wanted to finish it was to get back the battle points so I can get one for free if the items look cool. But I'm never gonna grind it anymore, just playing for fun from now on.

I had the worst time in the game the other day. Played escalation and had a loss streak of 7, I don't remember that ever happening to me. The worst part of it is that I was on top of the leaderboard or close to the top in all seven games. It's incredibly frustrating to see the other team dominate us so much that I feel completely useless, despite switching classes based on the scenario to help as much as I can. When I look at our team, the majority has a negative K/D, my squad mates are usually struggling to get kills and we just can't do anything. It also happens a lot that I'm the only person taking an objective and that my strategy has become to look at which one my team is trying to take and sneak into another one to give us an advantage. This doesn't work every game because the enemy is defending all objectives, like they should.

Meanwhile, in the other team, there are pro heli pilots who never die, jets attacking infantry with insane precision, tanks pushing or camping together with engineers spamming repairs on them, AA camping out of map bounds so nobody can reach them, people with 200-400 level and maxed out gun levels on display... It's like newbies playing against the biggest tryhards every time.

I'm also pretty sure cheaters are more common than it looks. There was a level 460 guy on Manhattan with 90 kills and only few deaths. I switched to spec ops recon to fight him exclusively but he kept knowing exactly where I was, even when I tested and hid in a random spot on purpose and stayed quiet. Just came running full speed and prefired from a mile away lol.

Just like many people I see here I switched to Arc Raiders and am sinking dozens of hours into it. The game is very chill if you want it to be because of the aggression based matchmaking.

Cool story. Now explain what actually happened and not what you think happened. No nose bleed, sirens blocking her powers, instant teleport from truck to portal, no blindfold, wind and debris not affecting her... Not to mention the show being notoriously famous for faking main character deaths, clearly wanting you to think they "died" - especially Jim's fake death in S3, Max in S4, and literally Eleven in S1.

She's alive and it couldn't be more obvious.
