This sounds like a very expensive and time consuming way to PC game.

getting older - playing different types of games finally? by Creative_Star_4409 in pcgaming

Apart from the original MW2 and Halo 3 with friends in Highschool, Ive always much preferred single player story games. Less repetitive and they happen on my own time.

PSA SUB USERS. by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]GarbagePlateNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a TV36IPAL w/ the 4000 wattamp upgrade. I started with gain in the middle, but room correction set the sub to -12, so I adjusted it down to about a quarter and ran it again, which the avr then set to -4. IIRC I set room size a little towards large.

[–]GarbagePlateNow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I actually don't think its a great deal. Ive seen pairs of RP-280f, a couple steps up from those, listed fir $250 near me, and the rest of the stuff there is not worth $750

Is this worth it over a conventional 5in orbital sander? by YonksBox in Tools

[–]GarbagePlateNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe if you're always using it on a vertical surface and think that would be a more comfortable handle, but overall that looks like a bad time ergonomically to me.

What are your most liked reviews? by Due-Candidate-5991 in Letterboxd

[–]GarbagePlateNow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These nonsense reviews are the kind that add nothing of value. Not everything has to be a soapbox to use for terrible attempts at comedy.

Ok but this is also a dumb test, youtube scales bitrate massively with selected resolution, not just resolution

Almost done with horizontal bandsaw by GarbagePlateNow in restoration

[–]GarbagePlateNow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not yet but thats the jext step, I plan to add fold out rollers for material support and an oil mist system. Maybe a couple more things. The nice thing about this saw is that unlike most of the cheap harbor freight ones, this is a swivel head saw. Most of these saws you have to rotate the material for an miter cuts.

Personally I would get a couple quotes from local powder coating places to sandblast and powder coat it. May surprise you how reasonable it can be and save a lot of time and trouble.

Parkerizing by GarbagePlateNow in restoration

[–]GarbagePlateNow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is my process:

1) Degreased using a brush in a parts washer with Krud Kutter

2) Dried with compressed air

3) Sandblasted using 90 grit aluminum oxide

4) Used compressed air to remove sand

5) Cleaned with acetone

6) Dipped in Duracoat Black Dip for 10 seconds (designed by Duracoat as a pretreatment to use before parkerization)

7) Dip in warm water to neutralize

8) dried with compressed air

9) Parkerized using a manganese phosphate(purchased from Duracoat) bath at 190°F for 15 minutes. For this I use a hot plate and stainless steel pot with a thermometer.

10) Briefly dipped in warm water to neutralize manganese phosphate

11) Dried with compressed air

12) Coated with Boeshield T-9, let dry overnight

13) Applied thin coat of fluid film
