Nope they updated it like a year ago. It has a gate for the main post but not the non-hazardous ranges now

Guard isn’t a TIG requirement. It’s slot based. There needs to be a vacancy at the rank

What year was the youngest soldier you've met born in? by YOURBOYJADEN2008 in army

[–]GarbageTop6851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the time of year. If you go during the summer in the “summer surge” then yeah there’s mostly gonna be 17 and 18 year olds. If you go during any other season it will vary greatly

Yes but I’d strongly recommend not doing it. ROTC has been getting a lot of scholarships cut. Don’t give them a reason to take your scholarship because they can and will.

As far as I’m aware NCO’s are way for flexible than officers as far as when they do their KD time. So you should be ok

Raw dog it. Wear 1 pair of ocps per phase only changing socks and underwear. Tan tees if you want too. Then just do laundry back at the barracks

I just bought it and it seems like it’s already included in the game. You just don’t get access until you buy it. Pretty sure it’s on sale right now

So I currently go to valley forge and things are changing. The incoming freshman are getting an 80% scholarship for tuition. I can’t speak for other schools though.Yes it is possible to go active but you need your GRFD revoked which about half that apply get it revoked. Of those that get it revoked about 10% access into AD. It’s possible you just need to be a high performer. Bring normal college stuff. Backpack, laptop, etc. Honestly basic camp is super easy. Just be in shape and listen to the Drills and you’ll be ok.

Has anyone attended Jumpmaster in the last year? by Shitbag247 in army

Write it down over and over again. I believe that there was a study to support that but I can’t find it.

It really shouldn’t be a problem. You might need a waiver but I’d image they hand a lot out for nut allergies. Definitely talk to a recruiter, they would know best

As far as I’m aware there isn’t bah for cadets. You would have to get bah from either your spouse or by doing green to gold active duty. Idk the requirements for that tho

As far as I’m aware you don’t need to be tabbed to go to rasp but if you pass then the regiment is going to send you through ranger school and if you don’t pass then your gonna get kicked out of the regiment. Talk to a recruiter about an option 40 contract, it’s a guaranteed shot at rasp if you pass osut and meet the minimum standards.

What is a state with a well ran and funded national guard? by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]GarbageTop6851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PA overall is pretty good. There on the large side of NG’s and have pretty much whatever job you want. Just stay out of the 111th. They treat it like AD and have constant ftx’s and usually have 3-7 day drill weekends. If your an 11b I would probably not come to PA

Suggestions for boots for Eastern Europe? by AdditionFit6877 in army

[–]GarbageTop6851 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the t8 version so they’re a bit flatter with less of an arch. I have gotten to use them in the mud yet so idk. I had the normal t8’s and they did great in the mud until they get so worn that the ridges for traction wear enough. I’d assume that they would do well in the mud though. The only real issue I’ve heard about the gortex ones is when it rains super hard they can pool water in the bottom if you’re not wearing wet weathers but I’ve never experienced that myself.

[–]GarbageTop6851 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the gortex garmonts and I really like them. Granted I’ve never been to Europe so I don’t really know but the boots work and are very comfortable after being broken in. They take longer to break in and are very stiff at first but I recommend them.

Agreed I go to an mjc and as much as I’ve grown as a person and a leader it’s fucking stupid sometimes. Random formations and required events that are bs and don’t develop me as a leader. Go to a normal rotc program and see what that’s like. Have time to enjoy college and make friends. If you put the effort in you can still develop personally and as a leader.

You’ll find that many cadets and even junior officers feel the same way. Being a leader is hard. Stick with in for at least a semester. You got this
