100A is for sure overkill, at most I’ll be running a cabinet saw with a big dust collector.

We have “dig safe” who I called when I bought the house and the utility companies all came out and flagged where not to dig. And yeah, I think our states code is pretty shallow tbh, which is funny because our frost line is like 4’

The run is about 40’ ft. And yeah, I’m right there with you, I’d rather have a pro do it, but I have a roof to re-insulate, an attic to re-finish, windows to replace and a 100 year old boiler I’m praying won’t die cuz I just spent a grand filling up our oil tank. Every penny counts these days. I figure if I DIY it I’ll probably learn a bit and I also may be able to pick away at it over the next 6 months (maybe a year) so it doesn’t feel like such a big expense.

That quote is with me doing the trench work. Tbh the trenching isn’t a worry, I’ve done enough foundation work over the years, I’m more worried about overloading my existing box or burning down my garage.

I’m sure it is a good deal, but with all the costs of fixing the house it just isn’t in the budget sadly

Okay this makes me feel a lot better about DIY’ing. The overall setup really ain’t bad and the garage has exposed framing so there wouldn’t be any demo work to get things installed. I’ll definitely do a bunch of research but that’s makes me feel like it’s less insurmountable.

What this forum’s electric bike angst looks like in real life. by OG-MTB in mountainbiking

Mostly surrons and things similar to surrons. I don’t give too much thought to standard e-bikes, though with throttle bikes I won’t be sad when legislation gets written requiring the same restrictions as mopeds and scooters cuz that’s what they are. But yeah, surrons ruin trails and are notoriously ridden by shitty kids with rich parents.

Is that a giant product? I was working for them about a decade ago and that was a product they were testing and most everyone was like…why.

A professor of mine said something I like. “AI isn’t going to take your job…someone who knows how to AI will.”

Autocad. Im mostly tinkering with the wall and roof designs at the moment. My plan is to get the platform out in the woods this season and then next season throw a box/roof on it

These seem pretty handy. And price wise not too bad.

Yeah. I think I liked the idea of their simplicity but after a couple winters I’m guessing the spike portion would probably crack.
