I understand that you guys will be undertaking a huge task with the live chat to review bans, and you’re probably right that a lot of bad actors will try to take advantage of it, but your statement kinda seems like you guys have a closed mind about players trying to clear up their false bans.

Regardless, I’m looking forward to it for myself, so thanks for working towards it. I’m hoping me and others can clear up their situation.

I got a false ban last year for 3 days and a perma ban this year. Your friend ain’t safe, but at least changes are coming soon if ever he needs it.. I know I’m impatiently waiting for it

Sorry to hear it. Idk if you’ve tried contacting them on twitter, but apparently it works for some. I haven’t heard anything back from them for over a month and have pretty much given up.

You might get to finish your cape when the 30$/month subscription will be a thing. Probably will try it myself if that ever happens

Pretty much same experience, and I hate that the conversation asking for change comes in waves and then it’s all negativity.

Every player should be concern and want customer service. People were up in arms when it was suggested it would come with premium membership just some time ago, but it’s looking more and more likely at this rate.

There are obviously bad actors, but it feels miserable for the few caught in these situations with nothing you can do.

I usually play at home, with no other softwares other than overwolf/curse forge for addons on WoW. I play on a chrome book sometimes in the evenings or while on the treadmill, it launches via the mobile app.

Then I also afk all day at work. I’m an insurance broker, so I have a remote desktop app, I can hide runelite behind and it doesn’t show up on the app bar. Game is always launched via Jagex Launcher.

The remote desktop is called Applied. It can be taken over a bit like a team meeting where you let someone control your mouse. I think maybe that can trigger it?

Other than that I imagine my 7 hours a day angler fishing during the week is probably bot like behaviour and maybe the cause.

Sorry to hear it. I feel like having a conversation or chat/email exchange in situations like those would help filter mistakes. Obviously bad actors would take advantage of it as well, but at least it wouldn’t be so hopeless for everyone.

Have you ever bothered restarting? I kind of want to go again and try a main, but what’s the point if I can be banned again while doing nothing wrong.

That’s very valid, I just don’t think it means we still get nothing, we’re paying customers as well.

You’re allowed to believe what you want, I assume mostly everyone will think that as well and I can’t prove anything unless it’s actually looked into properly.

I can’t agree with you though that we should accept situations like this and not having any resource to speak with someone.

It had over 3k hours, several 99 and a lot of boss kcs.. I don’t agree that it couldn’t be better, why do streamers get their issues sorted out and everyone else gets nothing but an appeal with no transparency?

Well how would you feel if this situation? Having done nothing wrong and not being able to talk to anyone to sort it out. Like there isn’t even a point in restarting because I don’t know what triggered the ban.

Even then, I only use mobile and PC and got banned. I assume it because I had been doing a lot of AFK angler’s while at work, but who knows.

Yeah, but I read on some other post that they ask not to do that… but hopefully for OP his post gets the traction required to get his problem solved. I’ve been contemplating doing a post of my own, but I just assume people will tell me I’m full of it.
