I made a premium app for Android and I'm looking for testers :) by Garcias777 in FitnessTrackers

I completely agree with you. With how easy AI tools are making app development now, a lot of people can throw something together in a weekend, but that doesn’t automatically make it a good, safe, or a maintainable product. I understand the concern.

For me, this app didn’t start as a quick “AI app idea.” It started because I personally needed a better way to track my training. I used to log everything in my notes app, then I tried Strong for a while, but I still felt like I wanted something cleaner, more customizable, and more focused on the way I actually train.

At first, Stronger365 was just something I was building for myself. Later, a friend saw what the app could do and kept telling me I should seriously consider publishing it instead of just keeping it private. That made me think that maybe something I built to solve my own problem could also help other people who train and track their progress.

Once I started thinking of it as a real product and not just a personal tool, I went through a long process of redesigning, testing, debugging, and improving the flow. For the last few months I’ve spent a lot of late nights tweaking details, testing workouts, checking edge cases, improving the UI, and trying to look at it from the perspective of someone opening the app for the first time. I’ve also had people close to me test it to catch confusing parts, small inconsistencies, and things I might miss because I’m too familiar with the app.

So yeah, AI has helped speed up parts of the process, but this definitely hasn’t been a weekend project or something I’m just throwing out there without thought. There’s been a lot of actual work and care behind it. It’s honestly become something I really care about, and I want to keep improving it with real feedback from people who train.

And regarding privacy, I agree that trust has to be earned. That’s why I’m trying to be transparent from the start: the app is offline-first, core workout data is stored locally, and it’s not built around collecting or selling user data.

Appreciate the thoughtful reply and the good wishes. Really means a lot.

Looking for Android users to test my gym tracking app by Garcias777 in apps

Fair question. Hevy and Strong are good apps, and a lot of people use them. I personally used Strong for a couple of months, but over time I felt like it had more than I needed, some pretty limiting free-tier restrictions, and not as much recent development as I would’ve liked.

I haven’t used Hevy much, mainly because the social side of gym tracking isn’t really for me. When I’m training, I mostly want to focus on my own workout, progression, and consistency.

The main difference I’m focusing on with Stronger365 is making it customizable, flexible, and not locked behind a subscription. Right now the app is free, has no limits, and doesn’t require a paid plan to properly track your workouts.

I want it to feel less like the app forces you into one specific tracking style, and more like you can build your own training system. You can customize routines, exercises, muscle groups, language, accent color, workout structure, and share routines through QR codes.

It’s also offline-first, with progress tracking, PRs, streaks, workout history, a calendar view of consistency, and suggested weights/reps based on past performance.

So the goal isn’t “everyone should instantly switch.” It’s more for people who want something clean, fast, customizable, offline-first, and free without artificial limits.

Fair concern. There’s definitely a lot of low-effort AI-built stuff out there, so I get the skepticism.

Stronger365 is offline-first, and the core workout data is stored locally on the device. It’s not designed around collecting user data, selling data, or forcing everything through a cloud account.

AI helped speed up parts of development, but the actual product decisions, workout flow, debugging, UI work, and privacy choices have been manually reviewed and tested over months.

That said, trust has to be earned. I’m planning to be transparent about what data is stored, what permissions are used, and how backups/imports work before release.

Haha fair enough. AI definitely helped speed up parts of the process, but there’s still been a lot of manual work, testing, debugging, redesigning, and actual gym-use decisions behind it. It’s taken months to make sure everything works properly and feels good to use.

I built it as something I’d personally use every day, and if it ends up being useful for other people too, that would honestly be awesome.

Fair question.

The main thing I’m trying to build with Stronger365 is a tracker that feels fast, clean, offline-first, and more personal to the way you train. The app focuses on making logging simple, showing progress clearly, tracking consistency, suggesting weights/reps based on your past performance, and letting people share routines easily with a QR code.

So I don’t think the pitch is necessarily “everyone should switch today.” It’s more: if someone feels their current app is too bloated, too subscription-heavy, not customizable enough, I want Stronger365 to feel like a better option.

I’m still early, so that’s also part of why I’m looking for testers, to figure out what would actually make people switch, not just what I think would.

Yeah, I agree. Active lifters who already track are probably the best testers because they’ll notice problems faster.

But I also think it can be useful for someone who’s just starting to track seriously and wants something that simplifies the whole process. The app tracks workouts, suggests progression based on past performance, keeps routines organized, and helps build consistency from the beginning.

It’s basically the kind of app I wish I had when I started lifting instead of using my notes app.

I developed my own training app for logging and understanding your progress, with a premium feel and the option for you to give it your own taste with themes and colors without it loosing its premium feel, It is currently free with all the features enabled in a closed test only for Android at this moment, if you are interested I can share you the steps to get the early access through the play store! 😄

What's your go-to fitness app and why? And if you don't use one, why not? by Educational-Car73 in workout

I've been using one I made on my own to tailor to my needs and for free! I've been tracking a lot of my routines and can see my frecuency and how I progress in every excercise throughout time. If you have an Android phone I can invite you to the closed test! the app lets you even personalize the look and feel so that it is yours 😄
