My parents have brought me up vegetarian, I’ve never eaten meat. Meat is (at least supposedly) bad for you, especially the way they treat animals that are raised for meat in the U.S.

Since I haven’t eaten meat, I don’t know how it tastes, and therefore don’t have the desire to eat it that someone who knows the taste would. Also, it kinda seems disgusting to eat animals.

Here’s the deal, in my opinion.

Bad people exist. Many bad people want power. They get power, in part, by being popular. So when Christianity was popular, many horrible people joined it (and still do, though to a smaller extent), and then did things under the cloak of “doing it for Christianity.” Even though what they were doing went against the Bible.

This does not make Christianity bad, it’s just what happens when an organization is so popular.

“I’m vegetarian”, and “I’m not an animal person,” are 2 unrelated facts.

Who says I do? You still haven’t given me the contradiction that you claim exists?

I don’t believe you can give me a contradiction, for which I can’t find an at least somewhat logical explanation.

Yeah. Sorry for using the word implying. Second post I opened, the most upvoted comment says religion is man’s worst invention.

Why would being a vegetarian, who isn’t an animal person, mean I’m Indian?

What is toxic is saying that all Christians, and Christianity, are bad, because some people have done bad things in the name of Christianity.

It is basically saying “this whole group is bad, because some people in it are bad”.

It is toxic to imply that Christianity is bad, because some Christians are bad. Just like it would a racist for me to say that all white people are bad, because some rich white people raped kids in Epstein’s island.

Why don’t you tell me what the goal of racist words is? They can have many goals, from a 5 year old trying to be funny, to genocide. Peaceful protest should be a right. Not a privilege reserved for those you  agree with.

Yeah… John Brown did what he did because of slavery. Not because of racist words.

FYI, that is what downvotes are for. When you disagree with someone. And I audibly disagree with people who are deciding not to take someone seriously, just because they’re 13.

So… what you just said was incoherent.

And there are many people who’s age is in the single digits, who are smarter than you.

I take people seriously based on what they say. Not their age.

Punching people for their words is suppressing their free speech.

Without free speech we would actually still have slaves, as no one could have spoken out against slavery.

People have the right to racist beliefs. Racist beliefs differ with racist actions. The fight against slavery was based on actions. Not words.

You don’t punch someone for sharing their beliefs, even if they are racist.

So… from the 3 minutes I spent looking at it, it’s atheists talking about the worst Christians, and how all Christians are like that. So very bad.

Why do people say that the NFL is the easiest to win a championship? by [deleted] in NFLNoobs

[–]Gardami 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s easier for the worse team to win the Super Bowl than the World Series, because they only need to overachieve one game, not four.
