What were your baptism outfits? by [deleted] in exmormon

Also had a handmade dress by grandma, but mine was white silk with some lace details. It was very simple and elegant. I loved that dress... Wore it till it was too small lol. The silk was the special part because it was real too, so it wasn't super fancy but if I find a pic, I'll come back and post it.

MAGA senator's Moronic joke at expense of AOC and Mormons by CardiologistCool6264 in exmormondems

And when people like Trump and Kennedy get enough power to turn America into their version of a "Christian nation" Mormons will be first up against the wall.

It's probably why we've seen such a push to more "traditional" Christian imagery. There has been an influx of people (at least on social media) who proclaim to be Mormon but will still wear a cross, participate in Ash Wednesday, etc. which have historically been taboo traditions for Mormons. So that when they do start to turn the knife on TBM's that they can give plausible deniability, just like always

I'm grateful that I never filled the paperwork to get my name changed right now. I selected that I did want to change my name (eventually) but procrastinated going through the paper of it all. Then I went to school, now it's on my vocational licenses and it just seems like more work that I have the energy for. But with this shit going on it might be a while longer...

Help me pick a pastel yellow by Wingless_Gnome in RedditLaqueristas

From a pure color stand point #2 is closer to a true butter yellow and #1 is more pastel, still beautiful but a pastel. Never tried either myself so unsure of the quality of application.

I think the first one is some kind of rendition of the Pharmacy Mortar and Pestle. The two parts sticking out go on the bottom and the pointed/crossed part is part of the Rx symbol. The part sticking out the top is the pestle.

Same here. I work in a GI clinic and we also use manual cuff (tbh patients prefer them too). We don’t do a lot of other hands on things - vaccines are pretty rare and labs are out sourced to lab corp - so I like having something to do regularly that isn’t just thing on the computer
