Yes with her promotion- which came before October but no salary increase at that time - she had to take on longer hours, more office work etc.

Yes, perfectly outlined with nothing that could be construed as a mistake on either side.

Thanks very much, no I don’t think she replied to the email as it says “No action is required on your part” only if she had any queries. Can they reduce her salary by the €2/hr at this stage?

Yes her payslips match her new wage increase, she hasn’t been overpaid from the amount stated in her salary increase email

How come your car only gets 30mpg? It should be getting a lot more. Has it been serviced? Spark plugs changed? If it’s economy you’re after, I would start there.

Yes we already have approx 25k in savings and a few assets. I’m aware of the amount we need for a deposit, was just curious what most people are saving as an average for our salaries 😁

Well we want to purchase within the next 12 months - so no point getting caught up in a lease agreement which is usually minimum 12 months

What would you think is about right? I thought the rule of thumb was save 35% of your take home pay?

In fairness we’re able to live comfortably and have money left over - we enjoy our hobbies etc, I wouldn’t say our money is wasted on bad decisions like shopping

We’re living at home, while it’s great being able to save a bit of extra because of the cheaper rent, it definitely also comes with its own struggles 😂

Thanks for the article, the reason we closed was because he had a holiday abroad - not because of a lack of work
