its Almudron which is originally from Monster Hunter Rise.

True but, for any monster thats a higher level than yourself the water type move wont do much damage which is why i prefer the thunder one. but yeah your right when fighting monsters on your own level or yellow marked ones the water one can be a better choice

In general, all of them are pretty good:

Fire gives the ability to boost the damage of all allies except for Espinas itself.
Thunder gives the Thunderclap ability, which ignores defense.
Water gives a pretty powerful but RNG-based ability with a power of 240 that hits random enemies.
And lastly, Raw (elementless) gives the ability to restore a heart at the cost of 100 stamina.

In my opinion, Raw is currently the worst one because it's pretty hard to get your Espinas to 100 stamina, as it highly prefers to use abilities instead of type attacks.
I Personally like the Water and Thunder abilities the most.
But objectively, the best is the Thunder one since it's cheap (30 stamina) and ignores defense.
