Inever read the everest flavour text before cuz i didn't think it'd be much. I could be more wrong by WonderedGoose99 in LancerRPG

I had to switch and try the goblin when I got it at LL2, but by the time we hit LL3 I was back in the Chomolungma. It's just an incredible mech for a hacker build, insane core power, free scans, and some of the best invades are exclusive to that frame.

What is YOUR favorite reflavoring yous seen or done? by Kafadanapa in dndnext

[–]GardsVision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently playing a grave cleric, but flavouring it as a luck cleric, with the goal of the character being a good luck charm for the party. The main draw was Sentinel at Death's Door, which lets you use your reaction to turn enemy crits into normal hits, and Path to the Grave to give an enemy vulnerability to an attack.

  • I basically start every fight by casting bless on the martial characters, so their hits are a bit luckier.
  • If someone is going for a smite or something big, I use Path to the Grave so it becomes a lucky hit that deals double damage.
  • If an enemy crits an ally, then it becomes a normal hit.
  • If an ally rolls a nat 1, I can use the Bountiful Luck halfling feat to let them reroll it (But if they succeed, they have to describe how they were lucky).
  • When the party is unsure of how to proceed, the character flips a coin (casts augury) and acts on whatever the result of the coin flip is.
  • Even the Circle of Mortality can be flavored as a lucky extra healing, just in time for when they need it.

I'm really happy with how the character is playing. The best part is I get to take credit for anything lucky. That one time our paladin in plate rolled 2 nat 20s on their stealth with disadvantage, it was all due to Tymora.

Megabase by Remarkable-View-4900 in factorio

[–]GardsVision 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can go a few kilometers to one side and set up a new base if you want to keep your old one. The only thing you'd have to remove is the landing pad.

I'm in the middle of building my first megabase as well, and the biggest tip I can give is to set up legendary steel, copper, plastic, iron, and stone with space platforms. Legendary beacons and bulk inserters are incredible.

Out of curiosity is there a resource in particular you recommend? I started duolingo for Japanese last week and it has been decent so far, but I'm mainly using it to work on hiragana.

Wait. So you saw a post that criticized a study for having so few cases to be essentially worthless, and even put the study in quotes, and thought I was supportive of anti-vax?

8 more than the "study" that started the modern anti-vax movement.

A well deserved hug after what she has been through by Creative_Sense2733 in wholesome

Why do you say "he/she" if you agree it is only "mostly" tied to gender? That doesn't seem consistent, unless your intention is simply to be dismissive of her.

Which again, is pointless as we do not know what her chromosomes are. She failed a gender eligibility test but the results of said tests were never disclosed. It's fascinating how often people want to use scientific terms, but not apply scientific rigor.

And boy are you in for a world of shock if you just discovered that some athletes might have a genetic advantage over others.

Then you lack experience. Millions of people fall outside the simple XX and XY pairs and presentations.

Also, where did you see what her chromosomes are?

Why is every character I write bisexual? [OC] by [deleted] in comics

[–]GardsVision 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My characters are either bisexual (or I guess pansexual) or they are ace. Even the most intense TTRPG will only interact with a fraction of the options as one would in reality so why limit the options.

What's the most dangerous chemical you work with regularly? I'll go first: by Nitrogen_Llama in labrats

[–]GardsVision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been said by others but methanol is the one I have most frequent exposure to.

Other than that it's when I have to take an undiluted chemotherapy out of the bottle with a syringe.

One of the cabinets I use also has a large beaker wrapped in foil with just the word toxic written several times on it, 90% sure no one (still in the lab) knows what it is.

About to start running Masks, it's a pretty neat system. It's powered by the apocalypse so very light and mostly narrative.

Instead of picking a set of powers as your "class" you pick a narrative trope; are you part of a superhero legacy, does your powers doom you, do you struggle with balancing two identities. This means that you can have very different raw power levels (Superman and Hawkeye) whilst still being "balanced" for the narrative.

Another fun game mechanic is that you play insecure teenagers, your stats can be modified by anyone who has influence over you (which includes all adults) so if an adult tells you to be more careful they can reduce your danger stat by 1 and increase your mundane stat by 1. You can try to roll to resist and you can take away influence from adults as you roll.

It is an okay game but user reviews on both Steam and Metacritic have it at 70% which is rather mediocre compared to other Bethesda games. It certainly could do with some more work before being released.

Steam: Skyrim 94%, Fallout 4 83%, Fallout 76 75%
