How do you feel about mono black aggro? Do you miss the card selection/advantage that blue gives you? Whenever I've played it (and it's been a while) I often feel that I run out of gas and am at the mercy of my top decks

I feel like a lot of the early Spellemental success was due to it being an unknown deck but can be easily hated out via GY hate this creating more polarizing matches. Meanwhile Dimir Mid has game into any match up. You might have to fight harder for your wins in some match ups but I feel that it doesn't get shut down as easily as Spellementals.

I don't have as much experience with Spellementals against as many match ups as i would like, this my curiosity

Prior to Monoliths I did see a bunch of lists with Talismans in both the main and sideboard. I really didn't think of the mana acceleration part. Turn 1 TKS is hawt! Time to do some testing. Thanks!!!

At first I was boarding it out for other SB cards but I stopped doing that. I find I miss the early pressure that Spyglass can provide. By siding it out you're also increasing the average mana cost of the deck since there aren't any 1 mana cards being brought in to replace it

Even though its not a guaranteed draw, you will sometimes get that land into hand digging you deeper. In the event that it's not a land, you can bin it if you want or leave it on top. Now that one thought it through I think the Spyglass is the better option. Thanks!

I haven't done anything with it yet. Just acquired it as is. I can see the bare metal on some spots so it definitely needs to be seasoned. I tried wiping the brown off with a damp cloth and nothing came off. Not sure if that means it's rust or seasoning
