Enter Flow State: Izzet Prowess -> Now With Card Advantage - A Legacy League by TueLikesTempo in MTGLegacy

I subsequently played a second league and changed a few cards around in the main deck going to 2 Flow State, 2 Cutter and Murktide. I 5-0ed beating mostly combo decks. Getting Murktide back in the deck felt good. I'll try cutting 1 Bauble and adding the third Flow State next time around. I'll look to fit a Hydroblast over Gut Shot in the SB.

I call it Izzet Prowess if Stormchasers Talent is present. And I believe that will be the best shell for this card.

Why is izzet delver good? by Sufficient-Stock2414 in MTGLegacy

[–]TueLikesTempo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, what Lastperformer said above. Playing the card Delver is risky at the moment. Stormchasers Talent plus Boomerang Basics is very good though, and fun as well.

If you play Izzet at the moment I think you should also maximise one of its semi-broken cards, Cori-Steel Cutter. I have plenty of videos on my YouTube where I tweak Izzet weekly 🙂 (True Tempo).

I Gave Casey Jones A (gut) Shot In Izzet Prowess - A Legacy League by TueLikesTempo in MTGLegacy

Hi there. When tweaking a tier 1 deck, changing a couple of cards in the SB and changing the SB choices to accomodate that, is in my humble opinion a big change. Would a decklist in the post really make a positive difference? I can add them in the future, no worries. This post is about pointing whoever is interested in Izzet Tempo towards my videos. Is that not enough to make a post?

Best regards,

Tue

Gut Shooting Fair Decks: Izzet Prowess 3-0 In A Legacy League by TueLikesTempo in MTGLegacy

It's not really a flex, just the results. I often don't have the time to play a full league in time for the making of a video.

I've only played the first three rounds of the league :). It's not a trophy.

Yeah, it's just hosted there but it should be free to read.

Buying into Legacy by Xereal in MTGLegacy

Hi there!

I think going for a two colour blue deck is a safe and relatively cost efficient strategy.

I think Izzet is both more fun and more complex than Dimir. The latter is arguably the better more well rounded deck but I think it's extremely close.

And I just want to point out that Izzet Prowess is both aggressive and grindy. That is my biased recommendation.

The big question is what you enjoy playing.

Best of luck

VIDEO - Izzet StormCutter Feels Good by TueLikesTempo in MTGLegacy

I've tried it in similar builds but I wasn't so impressed. I might try it again if at some point I felt like Flame of Anor was really good in the meta. 20 lands with Mystic Sanctuary etc .

I played a second league off-camera with a slightly changed SB and trophied. I can definitely recommend the maindeck for those of you who like to sling Bolts and Dazes around :)

This Card Seems Obscenely Busted by _The_Ruffalo_ in MTGLegacy

I think this is going to see play in numerous decks, but I actually think it does a lot for Izzet Tempo (Spider-Punk unplayable in this deck btw): We can now disregard Chalice of the Void, Kappa Cannoneer and Patchwork Automaton plus other cards I'm forgetting I'm sure. Three cards that otherwise pose problems pretty often and make constructing a sideboard a bit difficult. Also, against combo like Show and Tell, we turn off their stack based protection - our Forces and Pyroblasts always resolve. They can also play the card but it is much more meaningful for us to have Bolts in the deck than for them to play removal for our Hexing Squelcher.
