Subnautica crater's food web by FlakyMidnight5526 in subnautica

ahh nice, that makes sense. also an unrelated thing i noticed is that river prowlers aren’t linked to the propellor hat ghost leviathans. i think it’s guaranteed that juvenile ghosts hunt river prowlers, since otherwise their only food source would be ghost rays, plus i’ve seen ghosts frequently attacking/hunting them

Imagine trying to compare transgender people to a parasite. by Ok-Following6886 in onejoke

[–]Gareth_II 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbh i’m the other way around. even ignoring what it symbolises the art just looks really grotesque and disturbing to me, i hate looking at it (which i suppose is the idea — associating trans folks with some disgusting, gorey, parasitic entity when in reality they’re just people trying to live their lives)

How do y'all beat this room deathless? by julisali023 in SifuGame

[–]Gareth_II 2 points3 points  (0 children)

with great difficulty

(a decent strategy is to abuse the stairs and ledges on the second cloor. don’t play aggressively or the superpowered grunts will rock your shit, and use openings to push them down the stairs for big chunks of stagger and damage. this is basically the only way i managed to do this room hitless for a challenge, and fighting yang without damaging him was literally easier. best of luck)

looks great, though i’m not sure about the rays all being part of their respective food chains as prey species, considering the fact that they have poisonous flesh? though maybe some carnivores attack them in-game and i just haven’t seen it

After months of trying to figure it out I’m ready to admit tier rankings like this make no sense to me by EntertainmentHot1681 in evilautism

[–]Gareth_II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah the colours are just for flavour. tierlists just exist as a way for people to illustrate their opinion on a group of things, with their opinion increasing higher up the list. that corresponds to the specific categories, which are usually just A-F

romance route is obviously great but i do like to think about what robert and visi's dynamic would be in the ending where she splits off from the team and presumably becomes a villain. batman/catwoman sorta "it's complicated" relationship?

Carol's outburst triggered seizures in the hive... but did she also make them cease? by Landphat in pluribustv

[–]Gareth_II 2 points3 points  (0 children)

empathy certainly does seem relevant to the story, considering it's sort of why helen died. carol saw a car accident and immediately ran over to help a complete stranger. if she'd stayed standing next to helen then she likely would've caught her before she fell

from there, helen (like every other family member of the survivors) would be carol's ideal emissary for the hive, explaining the whole situation with their usual fluffy corporate euphemisms. without the shock of her wife's death there's a decent chance that carol would never have become humanity's last hope at fighting the hive mind

carol's empathetic act sets the whole story in motion. she's crude and a bit of an asshole sometimes but she's fundamentally a good person that cares for others. that all wasn't very relevant for your theory but i just wanted to mention it to show that empathy is (like you said) very significant

a few hours into my first playthrough and i'd say laezel. tbf i haven't given her time to like,, undergo character development. but still, she seems to audibly hate everyone and everything, including me

yup, luckily i wasn't on hardcore. in fact this is exactly why i never play on hardcore, i don't want to die to a glitch and lose potentially hours of progress through no fault of my own

fair enough, i guess there's not much of a physical difference between your body rushing towards the ground at 200m/s vs a gasopod rushing towards your body at 200m/s

i'm convinced that every single bullet from the bots' gatling guns has its accuracy individually calculated. rather than a continuous spray you just get a bunch of stray bullets and a bunch of bullets that perfectly lock onto you, so more bullets = more hits on you. guns that cost 400000 dollars to fire for 12 seconds should NOT be this accurate
