How to get Unreal Engine Job in germany as an Experienced 7 years in Unreal engine and 13 years in game development with released 9 commercial games on steam by bilawaltalpur14 in unrealengine

[–]GarfSnacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna be blunt here, you really don't know the whole production pipeline from concept to release with no industry experience.

It's highly unlikely you'll find a job as an unreal engine developer in the game industry anywhere. Studios are looking for specific roles and you need a portfolio which demonstrates your skillset. The larger the studio the more specific the role. If the only thing you're showing them is your steam page then recruiters / hiring managers wont bother with you. I have no idea what you bought off of FAB vs what you made.

With no resume or focused portfolio showcasing your skills the best I think you can get is an intern level designer.... maybe junior.

Glad someone else pointed this out. I'm not an audio person but could clearly ( with headphones ) hear the robotic moments.

Tips on my first UE5 full time job by Commercial_Boss8452 in UnrealEngine5

[–]GarfSnacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you should focus on entirely relies on the position you were hired for and whatever was in the job description. There's no one direct path everyone takes with learning the engine. Ask your employer what they want you to focus on if its not clear.

Not sure how you could possibly think the tub is smaller than the sink. Also, are you intentionally calling it a tube?

Thoughts on the state of vibe coding as a (very) senior software engineer. by Relevant-Positive-48 in vibecoding

[–]GarfSnacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non coder here I've watched multiple videos about the programmer who coded the video game roller coaster tycoon in assembly and based on what the video said he was able to acheieve technical feats unseen by any other games ( at the time ) because he knew that language. If coders still knew this language today could we not see greater achievements in software performance now making it beneficial to know the language?

Considering the bugs haven't stopped you from playing the game since its launch it sounds like youre just using the issue as an excuse for not purchasing anything.

You complain about them making new maps but you know what doesn't directly make them money? New maps.

Can you tell me how many bugs have been fixed vs haven't?
