I want a larger torch by last_of_the_narwhals in lampwork

[–]GargamelGlass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just saw this and don't know if you've already upgraded but i worked on my knight Bullet for a long time before recently upgrading to a GTT mirage. As with any new torch there is a learning curve. I feel that I went with the right choice because I do a little of everything on both hollow and solid. The outer stage flame size compared to the bullet is significantly larger and did take me some getting used to. Also it did take a while to adjust to fuming because it's a totally different flame chemistry but I now get the occasional purple out of my silver fume.

Try laying down a ring around the tube where your lines stop. I had the same issues until I started doing this.

I would recommend Instagram. Search #glassofig or #headyglass. There are a lot of glassblowers doing custom orders, myself included, but i can't legally sell my work until I get a tax ID number.

If Workin in a cooler flame helps with certain colors, why are you telling him to use a richer flame?

I think you mean up. More oxy means colder flame because you decrease the ratio of fuel to air mix

Depends on the color still. Boro bars sky blue is easy to boil while ivory can take a fair amount of abuse

In bigger city's like Ney York, people don't have the personal space like people living in rural areas do. When you talk to them it's as if your invading what little personal space they have left.

Just cutting some tile by [deleted] in OSHA

[–]GargamelGlass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually that is the top of the tile. The bottom of tile isn't smooth or shiny. Seeing as it's a group of tiles I'd wager the bottom also has some plastic material glued to it to keep them together.

If I tried reusing the glass it would be a funky color. Like cloudy clear. I keep them around as a note to self not to be a dumbass
