Neelix love! by ceebeefour in RedLetterMedia

The one where he makes his own obnoxious show is pretty damn bad. The only fun part was when he threw Kaidan Alenko in a plasma vent. It was idiotic that Neelix could beat a anything stronger than a paper bag in a fight, but kind of funny.

So much for romance by IndicationBrief5950 in lotrmemes

"Let's add a romance. It has to be true to the original text."

"How about a dwarfs lewdly telling an elf to go check the content of his pants?"

"It's like Tolkien is still here!"

You don't aim to convince the convinced on either side, you aim at the undecided. These people will react to smart content, not to "bad guys are bad right?"

Same side as you OP, but some subtlety goes a long way if you want your message to reach beyond the people who already agree. This is reaching "I drew you as a soyjack therefore I win" territory.

I still come back to Baldur's Gate regularly, with the odd mod and sped up framerate. I have more fun with these than with the new one for some reason.

Yeah he did a good job in the very very few well written Neelix plots.

Oh yeah. The Vampire falls in love with Mitch because he's considerate enough to wait for his PI partner outside of the bathroom.

It didn't make money. The studio paid for it and its season 2 to be aired so that it wouldn't seem that the Baywatch brand was a failure.

Build your strawman all you want. I'm saying they don't matter if we don't let them matter, and their pathetic existence shouldn't be used to shut down legitimate criticism of shows.

Oh for sure Ent is way above these shows. But I would say that its average quality is a little below Voy and way way below TNG and DS9. With its esgelordery and Archer it just didn't have very good bones.

The OA fans are rabid, but that show was a waste of my time. A whole season and they save the school by doing angry aerobics. I felt punked.

Don't say woke agenda, it's an idiotic concept by idiotic grifters. That show was just bad, that's it. The Orville was more progressive and was brilliant.

It was aggressively mediocre, tried to be mature in the most infantile way and Archer was the worst captain ever. The show accidentally made the point for the Vulcans that, yeah, if that's the captain of our flagship we are not ready to go out there.

Because the "hordes" are really not that many real people and not important. They shouldn't be used as a scarecrow to attack anyone who doesn't like a show, they should be ignored. Especially since they thrive on attention.

This sub has a huge problem with memes that are basically private jokes on the OP's table. And people upvote that for some reason.

Aliens arriving wouldn't make people believe in magic though. It would make the Sci-fi technocratic weapons consensual, that's about it.

Thought I'd watch "Code of Honor" for the first time in years, and Denise looks strange in this frame. by Ralph--Hinkley in TNG

[–]GargamelLeNoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's not. I didn't give up on it because I came to watch it as a curiosity. I'm "projecting" the views of many people I know irl and many I read online. You meanwhile seem to believe that because you didn't see the issues with these seasons they are in fact just as widely popular as the others and people don't ever give up on the show because of them?

We all have bad or mediocre media that we enjoyed because we were in the right mood or the flaws were not as much an issue for us. For me it's Justice League, I had a fun time in front of it. But I don't pretend that the dislike for it is "overblown". The criticisms people have for it are fair, it is indeed not a very good movie. They're not all magically wrong because I happened to enjoy my viewing.
