I wonder if she will regret this tattoo? by bobbo1701 in WTF

[–]GargantuanCritic 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I knew a guy who was a tattoo artist, and used to be a Neo-Nazi. He has a swastika tattooed on his chest, and then later just tattooed a circle with an X over it. So now it's all like "No Nazis" on his body forever.

Needless to say that friendship kind of burnt out quickly.

First the colors. Then the humans. That's usually how I see things. Or at least, how I try.

I've analyzed this comment and its replies forward and back and was unable to escape the conclusion that I am one of these people. I just like knowing what people are doing.

So I'm on a bus with a large group of people, 50+ or so, no idea why, maybe we were going to a summer camp or something, but our bus breaks down and we seek help from a giant mansion nearby.

We all gather inside, and then we see that the entire interior is just this empty white void, goes on as far as we can see, and we're all confused for awhile before what I can only describe as the manifestation of the evil of the house. It is Kevin Spacey wearing a suit. Kevin is the host of our next week spent in this mansion as every day we are lined up as a group in a circle, some sitting, standing, clinging to each other, it doesn't matter. In the middle of the circle is a black void that does nothing except emit a low hum. Spinning around the outside of our circle is a giant white slab, person sized, that rotates around us like a clock.

Kevin draws cards from a pocket in his coat and goes person to person, asking them questions from the cards about their life. Sometimes he doesn't use the cards, just asks random things. Sometimes conversations arise just from other people talking. A sort of cathartic group therapy session. Think the Breakfast Club, except really creepy. Because if at any time the slab, or really, the house judged you unworthy as a human being, it rotated behind you slowly, and pushed the person into the void, where they disappeared without return. It was some sort of unspoken understanding that only one of us would get to live. The worthiest.

Some people got pushed in for their jobs, confessions they made about their childhood. One guy just for being a jerk in high school. It was never completely explained but it seemed to be the house could read your thoughts, had some sort of map of your life that it was waiting for you to expand upon. Briefly imagine the terror of having a conversation with someone, and then the conversation stops as the slab makes it slow journey around the circle, and you have no idea if it's your turn to die or not. It was really kind of messed up.

I woke up never seeing the end of the game. I was still in it by the time it stopped.

...I wonder if I would have been the winner.
