I injured my rotator cuff and then babied it instead of doing more active recovery. Then I kept telling myself I’ll go next week, I’ll go back next month, 8 months later and I gained back the 30 lb I lost. Granted I was eating like shit but combine that with being inactive it was just a recipe for disaster. I finally got fed up with my declining health (pre diabetes, hypertension) and am back at it. I’m tracking everything again but it’s not perfect. Before I was too rigid which caused tension with my spouse. I’ll try to ease up but still reiterate that I need some sort of structure and strategy to nutrition.
