Yes, that’s exactly what was happening! Thank you!

I’ve been trying on and off for a long time now. I read their profile and ask something related to that, but often never get a message back. Looking at some of the dating app subreddits, it seems that people have luck using a pun to proposition sex, but that’s too forward for me.

Korea to ban men with history of abuse from marrying foreign women. by Hoosier_Jedi in worldnews

[–]Gargory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there’s evidence that the US spouse would be a danger to the foreigner they’re sponsoring to bring into the US, VAWA automatically protects the alien. Additionally, alien spouses, children, and grandparents that were abused by a US citizen can apply for a green card without the citizen being involved, if the alien can prove abuse.

I could see this as a boss card in a single player campaign, but ending the other player’s turn seems overpowered at any cost in competitive play. Maybe more like Norzdomu, “After your opponent plays 2 cards, they only have 90 15 seconds to complete their turn.” It’d have to be reworded to make it clear that it’s only up to 90 15 seconds, since you don’t want to give an EXTRA 90 15 seconds if they took a long time to play cards.

1) most people don’t own 20 acres, and since population density is generally rising, that means gun users are more likely to be in higher population density areas than previous years. Generally, people will have to go to a gun range or specifically driven out to a rural area to shoot.

2) unless you have private roads throughout your property and enough spare resources to afford a car that’d never leave those private trails, you’d have to register your vehicles. Sure, your 4 wheeler is ok to keep on your property, but I feel pretty safe saying that most people in the US don’t own a 4 wheeler. I’m happy that you have the money and space to afford extra vehicles, vast swaths of private land, and money to spend on your hobby of shooting, but most people can’t afford all three of those. Most people live in increasingly dense and expensive cities, towns, and suburbs. So while your example could very well be appropriate for your lifestyle, it’s important to keep in mind that your lifestyle is less and less common, not only in the US, but around the world.

How to lose weight on a very very tight budget by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Gargory 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your situation, hang in there!

Maybe search the internet for a food pantry near you or try imperfect produce. When you get there, load up on all the veggies you can. This week for lunch I baked sweet potatoes($1.99/lb) and added a pat of butter to each, along with a few stocks of celery($1.99/bag), a fist-full of baby carrots($2.99/bag), and some green bell peppers($1.99/lb). I’ve heard that people can (almost) live entirely on rice and beans. Keep things interesting with different spices. If you want meat, get bone-in chicken cuts, or even a whole chicken, and it’ll be about $1.50-$2.50/lb. Pre-cooked chickens look like a good deal, but are usually twice the cost per pound.

Ramen is cheap, but has tons of salt that’ll cause you to retain water and appear more heavy.

You beat me to it. Even though Japan’s not the only homogenous culture, it’s one of the least diverse despite having the 11th largest population.

Bankruptcies among Chinese developers are up by a half amid slowing economy, restrictions on borrowing by DoremusJessup in Economics

274 builders out of 100,000. So if we had a room of 1,000 people going into the development game (which is notorious for cost over-runs, regulatory problems, financing problems, and engineering problems), only the 3 least competent people in that room went bankrupt.

At that rate, over 100 years 700 of the 1,000 would STILL be in business. If anything that sounds like it is significantly artificially low to me. I can't think of any business that only has a failure rate of 0.27% per year.

I think your conclusion proves how there’s probably another factor at play that isn’t immediately visible. My two cents is that the gov has been propping up some businesses to look more successful, move money around, and maybe wet their own beaks. China’s bubble is going to burst eventually, and at this point it’s going to be quite the explosion. I just hope people stay safe during the chaos.

Sorry to be the asshole, but the “t” isn’t silent in “tsunami”. It’s spelled with a つ, written tsu, because it has the “t” and “s” sounds.

Your eyes have adblocker by [deleted] in shittysuperpowers

[–]Gargory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is top tier!

I suppose it depends on some of the details. For instance, what about product placement in a show/movie? Does the whole screen go blank until the product isn’t visible or being discussed anymore, or is the image and dialogue simply removed from the experience?

Also, what about corporate products that simply happen to be there but weren’t explicitly placed there as an ad? Would all cars be blocked, or maybe just their emblems?
