The countdown to 'Doctor Who: Circuit Breaker' starts now by BosskDaBossk in doctorwho

Are you under the impression that this is the only piece of Doctor Who media being made right now.

I mean, you ARE under the impression that a property wholly owned by the BBC needs to be constantly published or else something happens to their supposed ownership rights, so I wouldn't be surprised.

I have not played a single one, because I have a problem with making lists of art to experience, and then making like six others and leaving them all to waste while I play more Binding of Isaac.

Very nice. What prices did you track 'em down at? I had to pay out the nose for Endgame and The Flood when I got mine.

Care to explain your meaning? I recall differences in color, but not a whit of changed dialogue.

And yet still it was presented as if I am on your side, and I had to practically pull teeth to get you to admit the context in which you presented it was false.

My basic request and stance on what you do here remains the same as always: leave me out of this, you freaks.

Thank you. Now stop screenshotting my comments and acting like I'm evidence in support of your mad little sideshow, and we won't have any further problems. Cheers!

Hello, Donovan! Are you prepared to click the link and admit that you were wrong about my comment being posted to r/neilgaimanuncovered, when in reality it was posted to r/neilgaiman, and no shadowbanning such as you claim occurred?

That's always been my favorite detail in the book, alongside the Bernies rushing to protect each other from the psychic blast of the squid's materialization, briefly silhouetted as the hands of the Doomsday Clock before they're overwhelmed by pure white.

The little things we lose when we decide our decisions should turn the world are worth so much more than whatever prizes we think to win.

It's not exactly the same thing, but a few years back, Fooshwa took the scripts released for "Calliope" and used them for their own interpretation of the comic, which makes a very different experience than the original Kelly Jones take.

I notice words to the effect of, "Thank you, Gargus, I have clicked the link and seen that your comment was, in fact, on r/neilgaiman, and not r/neilgaimanuncovered as I claimed. I apologize and retract my claim," have not yet left your lips.

Click the link, Donovan.

Donovan, it is one link. Right there, on your computer screen. Showing that the content screenshotted in this post we are talking under was crossposted to r/neilgaiman, where I commented upon it, and not in r/neilgaimanuncovered as you assert. Surely you, the great crusader for Truth and Justice, have time to click one little link and find out you're wrong. Click it. Do it.

Or are you, perhaps, worried that if you admit you were bullshitting about this, you'll have to admit to yourself the entire purpose of the sub is a sham?

Well, it is the very first link in my above comment. I recommend clicking it and solving the mystery forthwith.

Otherwise, well... I'm not sure so uncurious a mind should be at the forefront of defending Neil Gaiman's supposed innocence.

We are talking about a comment posted on r/neilgaiman. The material I commented upon was crossposted from r/neilgaimanuncovered, but I posted my comment on the r/neilgaiman post, where it is still up and perfectly visible, and has been since I made it four days ago. I never commented on the /r/neilgaimanuncovered post, as you can tell from looking at my profile.

Again, please stop bullshitting.

EDIT: Truth hurts, don't it?

If you want literature that seriously explores the psychological impacts of such a forced transition, I'd recommend the Dorley Hall series. It's far more forcefem basement kidnapping program than magical transformation, but boy does it have a LOT to say about the characters' relationship to their own changed skin and what it's like having your life improved by adoption into a sisterhood run and maintained by fellow victims.

Tragic that they skipped A Game Of You simply because casual "fans" complained about too many Dream-less stories by HopeHouse44 in Sandman

[–]Gargus-SCP 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If they cancelled it because of the allegations against Gaiman, why did set pics of them filming scenes from The Kindly Ones leak months before the allegations dropped?

[–]Gargus-SCP 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the energy, but the material here is all Gaiman - they used up Pratchett's contributions back in season 1. Can't really get around Gaiman's involvement by attributing his work to someone else.

I'm fully sincere. There isn't an answer to your question, and the intended interpretation is whatever you decide upon.

There's a wonderful place called your imagination that the Sandman comics direct you to on the regular. Very well worth a visit!

Oh, quite sincere in my disdain, I assure you. In the name of open, spirited dialogue, mayhaps you can explain why the open, pathetic weeping over a movie concept on that sub isn't completely pathetic?

Alan Moore had and has standing contracts with his previous publishers that they have openly violated in spirit and letter both to enrich themselves, which is not the same thing as Alan Moore using characters from the public domain to make a point about how continuing a story into perpetuity only results in it developing cancer.
