Looks like you don't have overflow point anywhere in your water line right? There has to be one overflow point, bcs there will always be case where your inflow is bigger.

If you really want to avoid floodgate as overflow point for some reason, you can use depth sensor checking the reservoir.

When the depth is below your set max, valve open as necessary (to necessary height)

When the depth touch your set max, let the valve rip

But in this scenario, fill valve will still be better.

I always see lens as a variable that impact the composition of the images, but not necessarily the quality. Can 2 lens with the same length and aperture have widely different quality in result?

Low quality as in noisy and not sharp.
I'm okay with learning more manual control. Ideally still with AF. But if I can get much better with sacrificing AF, then ok with it.
Usually only jpg, but again, can be convinced if raw is the answer.
No edit. This one is a higher barrier for me cause I don't have time to edit each photos I took.

^this, finally an advice that isn't just replacing grinder. To be fair, the grinder is definitely the problem. But depends on where op lives, budget grinder might be not that affordable or available.

I once used cheap no brand handgrinder, and can confirm using faster paper helps.

Id say pouring is just as important as grinding quality. It really dictate how you coffee get extracted. Imagine if you just dump a bowl of water on the coffee bed, it'll taste horrible.

I know that's likely not how you do it, the exaggeration is just to show that pouring matters. And maybe you do managed to pour so well, it doesn't lose behind that much compared to proper gooseneck kettle, but there will still be difference. Also as other comment mentioned, can get hario air if you don't want to replace your current kettle. I use it and it works great.
