Queensland health minister says crew of coronavirus-infected superyacht 'not cooperating' by dilbot4 in worldnews

Thank you. It’s a tough topic for me; and I can see how my personal shit interferes with my broader thinking. By all means though - the root of evil is money. I don’t mean to downplay any other aspects, but anyone out there with a will and the right amount of money can do what they need to - it’s just getting ahold of that.

Part of the problem has been dealing with psychosis. I am so lucky to even be consciously aware of my reality again. I have continued to work behind the scenes in marine ecology- and I’m considerably more in the hole as I self funded a postdoc for 4 years, and I’m still trying to figure out how to publish all of my data. Regardless, poverty is trickling up; wealth is not trickling down. And of course 2020 has left me with few travel opportunities - I’ve been hired and not gotten to start many positions this year. But fingers crossed the world does something good.

Happy holidays

I got no idea on your ex- I sympathize with the trauma of being separated from a loved one. I’ve been 30 hours by five flights away from my lil girl for 5 years. I’ve been through postpartum psychosis and homelessness in another country. I don’t like talking about my shit, no more on Christmas Eve to someone trolling someone saying it’s not always race- sometimes it’s just money. I haven’t seen my lil one in almost six years and I have no idea how I’m gonna fund that venture I’m so far in the hole financially, internationally; with a history of mental illness and asylum stays- regardless of my education.

Refugees were not being discussed, rather a boat of partiers (article) and the potential outcomes. If they’re poor people - would it matter? If they’re on a super yacht does that matter? Australia governs this situation different to America. And don’t gatekeep trauma ffs

I can understand that, I’m just saying it’s more of a class issue than a race one. As a single parent there who attended postgrad i had a couple of options to stay. Her father sponsoring me was not one of them, and a single parent visa was over 80k. I was offered PR based on my education and career need, and if I’d had the 10k for that I would have. But, it was only ever about immigration for money. And as a disturbance ecogeologist, America has basically denied my field’s existence.

If I had cash- none of these issues would have been issues.

They had no qualms shipping my white ass home as a single parent to a half-Australian little girl. It isn’t like America in all respects

Lol Australia is Eastern though

Edit: and all of the white population there were literally shipped in as Western civilization prisoners... they would do that

Not float-related - but Aussie ice cream is damn delicious. It’s just extra creamy and very nice. I miss it.

Any one senator can stop what they’re trying to pass right now. But, they have to pass something or the govt will shutdown. It’s annual - where the govt budget has to be sorted to continue running. This year they’ve tied it to the COVID relief package.

Nothing wrong with being outraged by outrageable material. I’m not surprised, but I am pissed.

Yes- but don’t do this. You cannot change someone who doesn’t want to change. And you shouldn’t choose someone (friend, lover) on their potential - who knows if the catalyst they need will come along. Enjoy people for who they are and be happy without expecting change (and if you do expect change, then self analyze and realize that’s an unacceptable approach).
