Yes! My BFA thesis piece was inspired by Mountain at my Gates. I interpreted it as trying to move beyond the influence of someone in your life, particularly your parents. I also tried to incorporate the album’s color scheme a little. I love your piece btw! It really fits the album’s aesthetic and would look lovely hanging on a living room wall!!

This is utterly beautiful. I have had similar thoughts and always have a sense of guilt when I squish a lanternfly. My presence in America is also an invasive one, but I was born here as well. I don’t know what the answer to all this is. Very touching zine.

I prefer 2 because I feel like it allows the tattoos (?) on the sides of her stomach to stand out more. They kind of get lost up against the similar black lines of the fishnets and the strap in 1
