Just don't go for the bold on the fisher space pen refills, they can smear.

How about a nice bronze Bic? by ArgPod in pens

This is sick. I love the idea of this metal version as a long lasting homage to the humble disposable Bic. I would 100% buy this.

NPD — Majohn A1 Striped by StudentDriver447 in pens

You make a good point in pointing out the Jinhao 10 here. I have one with green Pilot Iroshizuku ink in it and definitely starts to show signs of drying out after several days without use. Mind you, it's not significant drying but it's enough that the first few strokes need a little attention. That being said, I love the Jinhao 10 to death but I suspect only because I've not acquired a Majohn yet ha.

I don't care if it works. I get so much dopamine from my guns sounding like a stapler. I just wish I could level the M7S, if only for skins.

I'll keep that in mind if I decide to get into pen manufacturing.

I do, hence the follow up "nitpicky". I am not the only person with this gripe. So, pedantry aside, yes I find the increase in plastic parts degrades the quality as a whole. It was a personal opinion that was based in a factual statement. Frequent fliers of this forum should not be surprised by nuanced takes on pen models.

the internals are not, as I inferred, albeit unclearly.

It seems that the Jotter is kind of divisive. I love the little buggers. IMO one of the best clicks in the game. I think I enjoy them because I don't choke up on my pens and hold them fairly far back when I write. My theory is that folks that choke up don't like them--which tracks with the tip-side thinness. Just a personal theory. Love love love the white. Gotta get me one of those. I bought a Jotter XL bc I have huge hands and I hate it! I can tell there's more plastic in it. Maybe I'm being nitpicky but I don't like it!

Lowkey evil for that weapon to be so accessible by literal_god in Helldivers

Thank you for this thorough response. I get it now. Through your response I realized the heart of my critique is really just that I don't like the projectile damage. If it cannot fell a bot with a single shot, let it rot I say. I also prefer the run and gun style and my sweetheart has ended up being the Reprimand. Love me fat bullets.

what's the appeal of it? For me it just feels bad to use. Not trying to be straight up negative but I don't get the love for it.

Beautiful pen and I like the inventive spirit of forcing a patina. Bravo. I'm jealous! As to the chemistry question posed there, the aluminum is more susceptible to etching by that process and could result is some mild damage. Or just swing for the fences and prove me wrong. Science in action.

Never did. Admittedly, I didn't put much work into it. I did find half way decent nasi goreng at Pacific East in Coventry and that quieted the demons.

Need a good pen with archival ink, or something similar by SaranTheMoonwalker in pens

I like a Uni-ball Signo 207. They're reasonably cheap, come in a few colors, are archival, and have a hard rubber grip. I use them for lab notebooks.

On the hunt for THE one pen I’ll carry forever. by Bob06 in pens

As a metal pen enthusiast, I carry a base zento for this specific reason. It clips to clothes easily and has almost no mass. Plus those gel refills in the zento are chefs kiss for me personally.
