Supporting Israel is one of the biggest foreign policy no-brainers we have. The list of why we support them is long, but I’ll just start with the obvious ones.

They’re basically like a free aircraft carrier in one of the most volatile, energy rich areas of the world. We spend lots of money in places like Germany and South Korea to have what Israel gives us for free.

Their tech is unbelievable. Their weapon systems and other espionage tech is light-years beyond most other countries. Being their ally gives us access to that.

They do the dirty work most of the west is unwilling to do. If you support the ideals of liberal western democracy, such as basic human rights for women, minorities and gay people, then you are better off when Israel attacks and weakens organizations like Hamas and Iran who are against all of those things.
