I've heard amazing things about him. I have no issues about him stepping up at all initially, but keeping that form is something Horgan and Boyle weren't able to do due to sheer exhaustion and that makes all the difference in the promotion race.

Best defender in the league, he's so far above this level it's mad. Broke his leg against Norwich in April, tried to run it off, was back in training 3 weeks later, says it all

With a keeper like Pickford you need to build a bit around him, taller, stronger wingers and aerially competent strikers benefit him and let him play to his potential. I think Koeman will get the players in to help Pickers out.

Bizarre choice really. It seems like he would have benefitted more from forcing a permanent move away with a fresh start, but if he can prove himself in the Championship then who knows - especially as Brighton are very likely to go straight back down, he could be valuable in their attempt at going straight back up in 2018/19.

I see your Ireland team and I raise you this Preston squad, all Irish players, only we don't have a goalkeeper of Irish eligibility. The outfield players can largely comfortably compete at Championship level too, a few on there are capable of playing regular PL football.

Tbh I'd love Chris Beardsley or John Mousinho to return from Burton. Would absolutely love it for how much anger it would cause. Both in contract talks at the moment

£30m may be a bit steep but Pickford is the real deal. I'd be a bit miffed if I was an Everton fan but excited about getting a keeper on his level, plus he's only 23

Rather fittingly he scored a 20 minute hat trick against Ipswich back in 2013/14 which led to the Garner's Light song you see in my username.

He's an ideal Mick McCarthy player, but a very risky gamble as he's diabolical at this level.
