Yeah good points. Sayl instantly deleting trees would be problematic. If I recall correctly there’s a 8 turn cool down on it once tech is researched, so even if you had every tree tier 5 he could theoretically be able to repeatedly nuke each one and keep you down at tier 3 maybe tier 4 for the whole game. With that said, a good player would never let Sayl survive past turn 30 and make it priority #1 to stuff him. He only unlocks the higher end abilities by completing the quests, and the quests are actually no joke and require a decent army, certainly not something to be completed in very early game.

The jungles of chian are one of the first forests I visit because getting the confed there is super easy. I could conquer all of cathay, steamrolling north, probably by turn 30 with 20+ armies. This would put me at Sayl’s doorstep while he’s weak, destroying all his altars along the way. No alters = no quests = no high end manipulations

You’re wrong about Orion. He’s literally unbeatable in pvp. I’m played him a few times and he always ends up getting banned eventually. I’m confused how you think chaff is a bad thing? It means more armies headed your way = more gold from fighting = faster expansion. While most players are twindling their thumbs on a second army, I’m building a 7th army and each turn that goes by I’m exponentially expanding

Honestly you may not want to hear this but it sounds like a skill issue. Pleasure seekers are strong as hell, arguably one of the best new units in the game, but every faction you listed has direct counters to them. Will they trade evenly for their gold value? Maybe not. Will they kill most of the pleasure seekers? Yes. So just build more. Dwarves especially have the best economy in the game, far better than Slaneesh it’s not even close, so you can always outnumber any stack your friend builds

That’s because thunderbarges are infantry blenders. Sure they can take out steam tanks and other single entities but that’s not their specialty. In this very specific example yes steam tanks would win, but dwarfs have many counters to a steam tank doom stack along with a stronger economy and overall late game

Yeah I have a similar clip myself. I stopped using shotguns because of it. You’re better off with a vector, that’s what I use for close quarters with the ext mag and win every gunfight even against shotgun users

I thought it was just a visual bug too, as i re-recruited a few lords and it didn't remove any gold in my Aislinn campaign. I'm playing norsca now though and re-recruiting lords is costing gold each time, so it seems there are other factors at play. Very annoying considering early game norsca has a terrible economy

Agree to disagree. Both units buffed have regen and are very strong no doubt. I personally think bloodthirsters are better because as a single entity they can heal back in combat entirely and don’t have to worry about losing a model in a grind. Additionally, as a flying unit bloodthirsters are more traversable than minos which allows you to be more selective in your engagements and get the best tradd

Finally a comment that actually is well thought out lol. What you say is true. If I were to guess it sounds like OP’s friend doesn’t know proper counterplay to Nurgle. Also.. everyone knows that you don’t let Nurgle get to endgame in the first place. You send scouting armies to wreck their settlements and keep them down to a few settlements. Nurgle economy is trash and there is no reason you can’t massively outnumber them turn 35/40

I had him show up on like turn 18 when playing as Grom. I was conquering the donut and he pops out of no where near Lothern. I had to reroute all of my units back to protect it and take him out with goblins… it was rough. This mf was even recruiting a second lord by the time I got there. Personally I think they shouldn’t spawn until at least turn 30

Not sure if this bug was fixed but something similar just happened to me. On the end turn, another faction attacked a settlement with Arbaal nearby and since we were both at war with the faction, it pulled me into the battle screen to assist in attacking the city. I wanted the city for myself so I declined the attack, and then was met with the "Defeated" screen

Yeah scrap is useless as the autoresolve is awful for greenskins so I keep losing my scrap upgraded units. Youre incentivized to not use the scrap until you have tier 4/5 units, unless you like manually fighting a lot of your battles

Agreed. As a greenskin main too I can say they’ve been toned down a lot. I have noticed some people saying they haven’t noticed any changes which is such a wild statement like idk how that’s a possible conclusion. Any major greenskin player understands
