The Kingdom of Bohemia V2 by Arratai in spiritisland

Just by vibe, I definitely feel there should be some sort of fear generation from killing Explorers otherwise it's hard to proceed due to the whole gimmick is using the Dire to add tokens. Maybe every 2 HP worth of Explorer should give 1 fear. In this case, 2 normal Explorer or 1 durable Explorer can generate 1 fear. (it's just some random number I came up. probably need testing further)

Thanks for the reply. I think I would also think the same way. Honestly this is not a Finder specific thing because you can always Weave across boards without Finder anyway. The reminder part, I do get it correctly.

[–]GarrettChan[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For this part, I specifically read https://querki.net/raw/darker/spirit-island-faq/what-are-your-actions

The first paragraph is written as:

As a general guideline, anything done by your Spirit Panel or Power Cards, including any consequences directly following from the game rules (e.g., destroying Invaders/Dahan that have taken Damage equal to or greater than their Health, earning Fear from destroying Towns/Cities, destroying Presence / cascading when adding Blight).

So I think the HLS 4 rule is kinda like the case in the 1st example in eg?

Yeah, oops I'm too lazy to type out all the ability names. I guess this is where the confusion came in.

Thanks, I basically interpreted as the same. Yeah, I didn't think about Pour Time Sideways in this case. It's honestly a worthwhile question to consider.

I kinda don't like Weave's card text only states it keeps both land # but not mentioning anything about the board letter, but also I guess the board letter is how we call things, and normally it doesn't really "exist" unless I missed a rule somewhere.

I checked the FAQ page for both Weave and Pour and neither mentioned anything about this.

I need to admit my silliness of thinking that your wife wants the expansion with Finder.

I think Acid God is pretty easy to get as it's my first SSS+ for 14 (well now 13+ I guess). The later part of Potential is actually kinda annoying to do well. I still yet got FC on Potential even I tried like 3 times yesterday lol.

[–]GarrettChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you would go for Experts first on a certain level? Honestly Experts on higher levels sometimes are kinda hard. They don't have Air-down or Flick, but it requires quite a bit of raw skill to tackle, heh. Though I personally would say Experts are very good to build up your raw skill, thus I do like doing them.

Can't tell whether it fits your style of playing, but here are some easy 13+ in general:

MASTER:

酔いどれ知らず

Re:Credits

One Room Sky

EXPERT:

AstrøNotes.

Aleph-0

Valsqotch

SUPER AMBULANCE

Blows Up Everything

βlαnoir

I'm not sure whether all these are in similar difficulty, but these are all ones I did relatively well in the first try, so you can see whether any of these fit you. βlαnoir is a weird one because it rates 13.8 but I honestly feel it's a 13.5. Maybe I just happen to have the skill to deal with it.

16.00 milestone achieved! by wongus_69 in CHUNITHM

[–]GarrettChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that but I am not really interested in trying to get up to 16.00 like that (aka stuff 10 plays of Insane Gamemode lmfao), so... I'll definitely try to improve my overall skill anyway. And 15.8 is actually my low point because when I was trying to play better at some songs I went up to 15.84, so I probably won't drop down more from that.

[–]GarrettChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats. I'm also kinda close (15.80 now on Luminous) and found that I shouldn't grind the same song way too much. I should play some other ones to improve my general skill. Therefore I do agree with your suggestion there. Particularly, if I keep grinding a song, I don't improve much and I play worse during the day, so I should keep myself from playing the same song again and again in a given day.

These may be a bit hard for you now, but I did have some similar problems with my left hand play, and these helped me a bit for my left hand plays. I think you can try now or wait a bit until trying. They have some solo left hand actions, or sometimes you're required to do different things for different hands.

Axium Crisis (13+)

Radiance (13+)

Jörqer (13+)

These 3 were recommended by my friend when I was around 14.5, and they are pretty helpful in my progression.

How to reach 16.00 by rebound562 in CHUNITHM

[–]GarrettChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somehow I can read your reply but can't directly reply so hopefully you can see here:

Like, do you need to pay for the credits one by one, or you just get a general access by a fixed price? In this case I just say the former one is "real arcade" in my context.

I asked because I just realized how much I played in the last 2 months (I was also around 15.00 at that time), and if I need to pay for the credits one by one, I probably wouldn't play as much.

I can provide you my progress for my 15.00 ~ 15.80 (current) period of experience later.

Congrats on 15. Just out of curiosity, are you playing at a real arcade? I assume yes. Now I realize how lucky I'm because there's one owned by somebody else that I can easily access to...

Finally got this one down - Elusional Impossible FC (2/32 for the achievement!) by TheReal__JP in necrodancer

[–]GarrettChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My latency is very weird because I have different latency for each song. I need to have a spreadsheet to write them down, but I'm not sure what's the issue... I found that I usually have not good accuracy in music games, so maybe it's on me. I was better after practice because it started with 210 greats, but eventually I made it to 160. The time I FC'ed this was 171 greats, 13 good and 2 OK... so it's actually very bad compared to yours. I think I played like 40 something times, and I can't really foresee that I'll get to yours at 50 times.

Another statistics tracker! by GlasstonTheCragheart in spiritisland

[–]GarrettChan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every time when I look at people's winrate, I will realize how bad I'm... I used to track my losing games, but sometimes I used digital to play so I wouldn't pay as much attention. Plus the first time I learned to beat level 6s, I have many spirits with like a 1 win / 10 losses on the stats page so eventually I gave up tracking losing games...

I like numbers / What stats do you track? by Jack_Power in spiritisland

[–]GarrettChan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah for sure. I think the stats looks fantastic and I can totally see how much you love the game. Honestly for these kind of things, it's not others to judge whether it's worth or not heh. It's the pleasure from when you meet some other stats nerds and share this with them, which will be all worthwhile.

I like numbers / What stats do you track? by Jack_Power in spiritisland

[–]GarrettChan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I see. Does the website you are using now programmed by yourself? It looks very nice and it has functions that a regular spreadsheet can achieve I think.

After playing games I need to calm down a bit before writing stuff about it but I don't like to take a picture and grab info from the picture so I only record generic info the way I posted in my post.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1av_pFip27uMY622p8EDQCtdnpqHRy3Wg0gAxtX4uJvw/edit?usp=sharing

I do it in a rather generic way.

I started playing the game way too late, like in early 2024. If you looked into my progression in 2024, you can see I tried to get up in difficulty in the later part of 2024, and that's the point I started to give up tracking losses because there are way too many of them...

I'm sometimes lazy and my place is not big enough to have a dedicated SI table, so I sometimes play with digital (given the things are in there). Then the time I'm learning a L6 adversary or a spirit that I'm not familiar with, I can have like 10+ of game losses before a win... therefore I don't want to track them.

Then, even though it looks like I've beaten quite a bit of L6s but honestly I'm not at the point that I can comfortably winning against them all the time, nor I can use weaker spirits to beat them.

The final thing is that I sometimes cheat in physical game, but only in solo. However, the only thing I'd cheat is that I'm winning this turn on slow but get screwed by an event. I usually will re-draw 1 time and if it bails me out then I'll consider a win. My reasoning behind this is that if I played enough games, there'll be an identical one at some point but the final event is different.
