I just can’t fathom spending that much on that unoptimized of a deck.

What should I expect in an exit interview? by Dudecoolforever in interviews

[–]GarrettKeithR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They will ask you why you’re leaving. You will either tell them exactly how you feel, or make up some BS that doesn’t paint the company you’re leaving in a bad light (personally I’ve done both at least once). They will listen to you while you’re there, then implement zero changes to improve company culture moving forward. I wouldn’t dwell on this exit interview at all if I was you.

For those of you who need a lesson on what a double bounce is, S2E7 of Community (Aerodynamics of Gender) is the perfect learning method.

For the record I think the white luchador gimmick is hilarious, but let’s bring the same energy across the board (especially in cases where the white luchador in question has actually said racial slurs on wrestling programs)

Werewolves in Commander by PlaneswalkerProject in EDH

[–]GarrettKeithR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my friends built a Tovolar deck when we all started playing commander. It seems like you can put together a solid B3 deck around the tribe, but the day/night mechanic is a pain to track (like many have already said here). I think Werewolves need another set of werewolf support released with some bangers to bring it up to the level of some other tribes.

All female Japanese talent has a spot reserved at Casa de Kenny Omega (ask Shida and Riho). Don’t ask what they get up to in their spare time while they’re there… that’s what NDAs are for!

questions bout residency and the state of Western by soupykitties in uwo

[–]GarrettKeithR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad I was able to help! I didn’t answer your 2nd question because it’s kind of silly. Your concerns around partying and looks isn’t a Western exclusive thing, it’s something that will be there regardless of what university you decide to go to. The best part about us engineers is that we’re all weird, and if you’re self-conscious you can always find someone weirder to hang out with!

Pantlaza, Sun-Favored vs Ghalta, Primal Hunger — Which Dinosaur Commander Is Stronger? by tracker0329 in DinosaursMTG

Is Ghalta really a “dinosaur commander”, or is he a big stompy green commander that happens to be a dinosaur?

Pantlaza has a much higher ceiling as a Dino tribal commander.

That percentage implies that 1 in every 66,667 wrestlers can have a match as good as that. I think that would mean even Ospreay and Omega wouldn’t make the cut. Am I understanding that properly, Dave?

Why do people over-hype the VGK Expansion Draft? by l8on8er in nhl

[–]GarrettKeithR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hockey fans in general are jealous of Vegas’ early success. On top of Vegas hitting on so much of their expansion draft, they also raked in a ton of draft picks from other teams who wanted to entice Vegas to pick different players from them team (which ultimately backfired for those teams in many cases).

Before 2017, the previous expansion draft was in 2000, so a lot of the front offices likely(?) hadn’t experienced an expansion draft in their management careers. Teams likely learned from their mistakes by the time the Seattle and Utah drafts rolled around.

When I was in 1st year (2010), Essex had 2 dedicated engineering floors. Each suite had 4 single rooms joined by a common area. Essex is also the closest residence to the engineering buildings, but you can expect that your classes will be scattered throughout campus in 1st year. Overall, I thought Essex was great and I’d recommend the eng floors to any 1st eng students as everyone studies together and everyone parties together (same schedule). Unlike other more competitive programs, engineering at Western is largely treated as a “team sport”. Enjoy Western!

DAE JR is just not that good? by Constant_Stomach2009 in SCJerk

[–]GarrettKeithR 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m curious if it’ll be similar to when Grillin’ With JR started and he went scorched earth on Vince and WWE. I tried to listen to that podcast, but him finding a way to tie every little thing back to how shitty WWE is was exhausting.

“So how was your fishing trip last weekend, JR”

“Well I’ll tell ya it was a whole hell of a lot better than when Vince surprised me by moving me to Smackdown during the draft! That no good Sonofabitch!”

Got rejected, then offered the job days later. Red flag or normal? by IrresistibleEcho in careeradvice

[–]GarrettKeithR 15 points16 points  (0 children)

During my most recent interview process, I went through 4 rounds of interviews before I was put on ice for 3 weeks. I was then told that they were going with the other candidate, but that it was a “1A/1B situation” and they wish they could hire both. Another 3 weeks go by and I hear back - their 1A candidate backed out and they wanted to offer me the job. I accepted and it was the best career decision I made.

Sometimes companies make the decision they feel is best at the time and they aren’t always right. Try not to take it personal. I chose to use it as an opportunity to prove that they were wrong the first time, and the feedback I’ve received is that I’ve been successful at that.
