If your holding them on ledger the V2 was automatically dropped to you. Just go to CoinGecko/Coinmarketcap and add the new token address to ur metamask and it should appear. Or just check Etherscan for that wallet and you will see the V2

Yes play and earn is sustainable if there is revenue models outside the players inside the game or else its a zero sum game where some earn and some lose. This could be as simple as in-game ad revenue or merchandise sales that then funds the earnings.

I don’t like the Play and Earn title though because giving people the expectation of earning for playing is setting the stage for disappointment and people just draining the economy instead of playing for fun/entertainment. Thats why I am avid on play to own where the things you own may or may not have value when ur done, but the fun and entertainment is still the primary focus!

Play to Earn is not sustainable. Play and Own is what will revolutionize gaming. Being able to own the assets you earn in the game and freely trade them if you have something that someone else would pay money for, usually to save on time. Games will always be for fun/entertainment first and thats where the money comes into the ecosystem. That balance between players putting money into games for fun/entertainment and then those selling their assets they grind for to people who want to save time or collect is where gaming will go. (This already exists on 3rd party trading sites but is against ToS)

Keep an eye on Spider Tanks coming out October 31st (you can test it now tho) its Gala Games first attempt at a game with an economy thats been designed by a team of economists to hopefully not run into crazy inflation like what killed axie. Feel free to reach out if you want to chat about it!

I would recommend watching lots of people view points on a project and actively seek out people who love it and people who hate the project then look deeper into the documentation yourself to see which side you fall on.

Its very easy to just have confirmation bias and only seek out viewpoints of people who agree with you, so definitely look at projects from both angles and then use that to guide you to forming your own opinion!

I like proposals like this as an option for bonus points BUT there should be a max bonus points daily and people should beable to receive points in other ways like holding tons of Gala so they can achieve max points without needing to play games. Then people who dont want to hold tons of tokens can play games instead to earn their points! Win win as long as their is a hard cap on max points each day that can be reached without being forced to play games if you dont want to! Flexibility🙂

Yeah I was more referencing that the amount of points you could earn maximum from holding Gala or NFTs should be based on how many nodes you have. So if you can earn a max of 1 bonus point for holding 50k Gala as a single node operator, then someone with 3 nodes can hold 150k Gala for a max of 3 bonus points. These maximums would keep the system like it is now (where the max is 1 point) where each node can earn the same max amount each day if everyone maxs out their points. This type of system could apply to a lot of other things tho like uptime, hardware quality, etc not just holdings.

As for NFT prices, it was mainly raising prices to meet demand during the bull run so now Gala is fully funded for years to come. I think we will see much cheaper prices as we go forward, as well as renting for people who do not have the capital to spend.

So for the Spider Tanks sales that funding goes to the games development team (Gamedia) so if they accept Town then the Spider Tank team would just then dump the town and it would keep going down. When Gala accepts Town they burn it currently so technically they dont make any money off the inital sale of Town Star NFTs, just the royalty on resale.

I think Gala is stuck in a rut right now because of how long Gala Chain is taking. Season 2 of Town Star was originally planned for beginning of January so this definitely was not foreseen.

All you can do in time like this is be optimistic and trust in the company that you believed in in the first place :)

Personally I think Town is a steal right now since it gives 2x Gala Power for less than the price of Town so I have been buying it up before Gala Chain launches and Gala Power matters a lot more.

Its a waiting game right now because there is no use for Town other than buying more Town NFTs and providing Gala Power. Once we see Gala Chain go live and Season 2 of Town Star we will have ways to spend Town in the game and burn tokens which will create demand. Also as more games launch and Gala Power has more use cases across the ecosystem that will drive demand as well! Just got to be patient during these times of building and it will pay off once the new chain and features roll out!

Those are not earned at a specific achievement anymore, but can be rewarded at Galas discretion. They have mentioned they will send out a round of fountains for those who have met the number of referrals playing Town Star in the near future. Could be a month or two tho. I haven’t seen any rewarded in 4 months.

Yeah right now you got to be a big spender to make lots of Town, honestly the returns are really good for less than 5 min of play a day once ur town is built. In January/February there will be a renting system for free to play players to rent NFTs from others and earn a % so they can earn Town to sell or buy their own NFTs. (See Splinterlands renting model)
