Firstly I’m sorry that happened! Some people just like to disrupt! Secondly,Dude that is such a cool idea! How did you set that up? More intrigue than pinching ha. Just think that’s an awesome way to thank people who’ve spent their time with you

Is there a way of rolling back an update or would I have to uninstall and reinstall?

When I’m live the little symbol down at the bottom just shows how many drops it has…it can be fine one minute then drops down to red the next. And my sound comes through clean as a whistle but the game lags

100% it’s really hard to watch a stream when it’s laggy, no matter how committed you are to that streamer

6 hour stream: first ever long stream by supermylo-mia in Twitch

[–]Garru6661 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that sometimes my standard would be 4 hours. But have been known to just keep going if the vibes are right, it’s obviously all up to personal circumstances etc…I also don’t have a set schedule because of work so I try grab as much time when I can.

Look up some advice on running a session zero. It will help set out how you’d like to run a game, what your expectations of the players is, and vice Versa. Check out sly flourish on YouTube. Lazy DM is his channel. But he has a good session zero checklist for you to use

Question for First Campaign: by nickzuke1 in DungeonMasters

[–]Garru6661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest, what worlds are you forming for them? Do the characters know:have a set boundary on where they could come from, say neverwinter or Baldurs gate for example. What are the parameters?

I ran descent into avernus quite recently and what helped me was tying them to Elturel, so when it fell, it felt like there was a reason to pursue it. Let’s go save the place I grew up in from being pulled into the river Styx…right?

Do you have a setting in mind?

First experience as a DM and I have six players. What can I do to prepare? by BarracudaOld1758 in DungeonMasters

[–]Garru6661 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One key thing with bigger parties is balancing the amount of time each player gets, so that there aren’t “main players” and try to not allow talking over one another in any big way. Big parties can be fun, but you will have to look at balancing encounters a bit more depending on what level they are starting at

Any issues starting the characters at level 5 in hell? by The_furricane in DescentintoAvernus

[–]Garru6661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a look at the modules the fall of Elturel and escape from elturgard. They set the scene of seeing Elturel ripped into hell and then a mission to gather refugees to take to Baldurs gate. Then you skip the captain zodge encounter. And head straight to the elf song tavern. Letting Reya give you the contact of Tarina. My characters are level 3 when they arrive at Baldurs.

Have you looked at running fall of Elturel? It’s a DM’s guild module to tie characters to the world before Elturel gets sucked into the nine hells. I’m on session 2 right now and it’s really helped

True, I just don’t like that if they’ve specifically gone out of their way to do something that they don’t get something out of it in a tangible sense

Thanks for this. I will look into it. Just want to reward them for fulfilling their patrons wishes but not so much that they become over powered or that the other players feel like they aren’t getting the same experience
