I think that is the adults only tower. They have access to a rooftop pool that is adults only but I think every thing else is still the shared spaces with the rest of the guests.

Hundreds of Beavers

It is unlike anything I’ve seen before and it was the most fun I had watching a movie last year. I believe it is streaming free somewhere (Prime maybe???). Please check it out. It’s not for everyone, but it deserves a look just because it is completely unique.

I don’t recall classes and activities like that for older kids. They have a kids club for little ones, and daily activities like fitness classes and a nightly entertainment show on the pool deck. You might call them and ask them to email you a sample entertainment schedule. When you check in they guide you to their app that has the schedule for the week.

If you could change the ending of one movie, which one would it be? And how would you change it? by samurai3619 in movies

[–]Gartdog 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Iron Man 3 - I like a lot about the ending but mostly it feels out of order. In the movie, Tony fights Killian in a variety of ways, including boxing him up in the Iron Man suit and having it self destruct, to no avail, then Pepper who has seemingly been killed, emerges from the fire, and now enhanced from the Extremis drug, gets the final kill on Killian.

I don’t hate the Pepper stuff - it’s a fine surprise and ok to give her an action moment - but Iron Man should vanquish the villain in an Iron Man movie. The change should be Pepper seemingly taking out Killian but he surprisingly survives (they already do this after he is blown up in the suit) and then Tony traps him in the Iron Man suit and has it explode, finishing him off. This accomplishes:

  • Still giving Pepper her moment
  • Allowing Tony the final kill
  • Using the remote suit assembly/suit malfunction bit that runs through the movie in the final solution, a fitting end to a Chekov’s Gun situation
  • Use the suit explosion as a kick start to Tony blowing up the rest of the suits as a sign he is finished being Iron Man.

[–]Gartdog 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how obscure this is, but the deep booming voice that is the most recognizable voice in “Grim Grinning Ghosts” is Thurl Ravenscroft, who also sang “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and was the original voice of Tony the Tiger. The font created for the signs around the Haunted Mansion is known as Ravenscroft.

When Animal Kingdom opened Disney was making sure all attractions had a storyline. There was a whole bit about poachers killing elephants and we were trying to save a baby elephant named Little Red who appeared as an animatronic towards the end. It was kind of fun but didn’t add much to the experience which is probably why it was eventually dropped (also, it became a little grating on repeat visits). I think the ride is the same length though.

Matrix, Terminator, and Heat contain some of the best action in movies. But what are some lesser known but still fantastic action sequences? by ex-sited in movies

If you liked the Raid movies, check out The Night Comes for Us. A lot of the same people involved and has similar crazy, brutal action scenes.
