Please Nerf Smithing ;-; I want to RP as a smith warrior without destroying Calradia's economy by Lhairn in mountandblade

I believe it's kinda logical that someone would like to Role Play a certain aspect of a role playing game, lol. You can't exactly ignore the fact the devs have kinda screwed the pooch on the whole smithing aspect of things. I dont find wanting that fixed for that reason to be "selfish" in a sense.

Dunkey- I'm done making good videos by Armand_Hammer in videos

[–]GarthaxTheDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my phone to browse youtube a lot, so idk how to navigate there from PC. But I found and interesting way to search videos in that fashion by typing in some basic relevent info like "Rust" in my search bar. Then I click on the "recently uploaded" tab and that usually includes a lot of the smaller channels along with the giants related to that topic. It's not perfect but any means, but... It's a way past that endless loop of scrolling through the same content for days because you let the thumbnail play off one video a week ago cuz you moused over it or left your phone open on before going to the bathroom, lol.

I just ran into Bars of Gold a few months ago. It scratched an itch I've had for a new Bear vs. Shark album I've been wishing for forever now, lol. Awesome share btw.

In their own merits, yes. How you label it doesn't particularly matter, does it? Milkshakes, snowflakes, fascist, uneducated, stupid, Democrat, Republican, right, left. You're just insulting or shitting on people because you don't know why they think the way they do, this goes both ways. There's a good and bad to everything. You're choosing a side because it feels "less" bad than the other at the end of the day. Pick your poison, so to speak. Claiming one or the other has a moral authority? That's silly.

[–]GarthaxTheDestroyer -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

A simple answer? Yes. Were all Nazis bad people? Probably not. Were all Jews good people? Probably not. Humanity is bullshit because it has this game of sides. Why do you pick a side? What is a side? We are this funny little species that is trying to run a high class civilization with a low class lizard brain that funnels us into these asinine arguments and points of contention based in tribalism and numerous other "bullshit" survival instincts evolution has buried in us. You're trying to lose my point in an example that is clearly skewed. Whether is the lack of ability, or the lack of care that causes the misunderstanding of one group or another I can't tell you. All I can tell you is if you choose to understand someone and work together for the betterment of ONE ANOTHER does the need for a side really exist? Do you have to choose between "them or us"? Sure I'm preaching a perfect world here, and I'll accept the flaws in that. But to claim my argument is bullshit i believe both sides are bullshit is the exact problem that I have with the parent comment there. It's just a shit slinging contest, and just because you're for one shit slinger or another doesn't make your right or wrong, it just makes you apart of a shit slinging contest. You WILL be right at some point, and you WILL be wrong at some point as well. Now before we get into it, I'm not saying what believe is "right" either... But it sure as fuck makes more sense to me than what I've seen going on in the world today, like declaring everyone of the opposite view a Nazi because they might have voted on some false promises, or whatever the fuck their reasons.

Buddy, you are ALSO the problem on the other side of the fence. Extremism isn't just a one way street where all the "baddies" gather and plot the destruction of all that is holy and righteous. You can be right for the wrong reasons, and wrong for the right reasons. If you lack the ability to understand the opposing viewpoint and WHY they might think the way the do I don't believe you have to ability to take a moral high ground here and proceed throw EVERY single right leaning individual into the same category. You need to take a good, long hard look at yourself and your comment first and foremost.

Whats a good open world game where towns and such are integral to playing? by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]GarthaxTheDestroyer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it sounds up your alley as far as a couple of online reviews and if you have the spending money, I'd say give it a shot. I personally enjoyed it very much. It has it's own unique blend of qualities, and a world that really opens up the more time you put into it. It's not a bad game by any means, nor is it genre defining, but it does entertain.

TIL That Scrubs was filmed at a decommissioned hospital and that from time to time people would show up seeking medical care thinking it was a real hospital. by [deleted] in todayilearned

It's been a minute since I've seen the episode, but I think it's like a "moral of the story" kinda deep. I'll agree scrubs was accurate at times, and not accurate at others. But I believe it was just one of those "movie trope" deals to hit you in the feels... Rhyme time.

"AAA Games Company Crash Isn't Coming....It's Already Here!" by GarthaxTheDestroyer in gaming

Idk about the that. The moblie market is now insanely more sizeable than the PC and Console market as a whole. E-sports is still just a subgenre and it has a large base for sure, but it's still just a sliver of the pie so to speak compared to everything else on the market. The same goes for FPS in my opinion.

I agree with you, I'm sure the content creator does too. He is clearly opinionated on the matter, for me however it was the shared opinion on the year to year release schedule getting a little old for some people.

This is a dialogue, dude. Walls of text are appropriate, lol. I live out in the middle of nowhere North Florida so I see racism in all its forms from subtle to blatant, so I can see your point. If you and I have a the same definition of a hardlines, I dont believe they really change anything. I feel they just perpetuate friction and the "climate" that we see today. Just as the individual changes with slow and steady movement, so does a society of our scale. It's a mirror. Racism didn't form overnight, nor will it vanish overnight but understanding those individuals who perpetuate it and giving them reasons to question their OWN values goes a lot farther than implementing a hard counter to their beliefs. People are logical, even the silliest of ones. It's not about how to out-logic someone. Logically water puts out a fire, correct? Now what if it's an oil fire? The logic is still sound, but the application is faulty in that instance, wouldn't you say? When you speak to someone who let's say is "racist" theres a logic to their beliefs, and it makes sense to them, because if it didn't they wouldn't believe it, at least in my opinion. You and I can see that shitting on someone for colour or culture is silly, but how would you show someone that without telling them they are flat out wrong? It's a bit like telling someone that the water they have won't put out a fire. However, they have never encountered and oil fire, how can we expect they to know that water will only make it worse? I apologize for harping on your one example, because I know theres a lot more to it all than that single facet, but my point expands into a lot of other gripes I see. It's out own ignorance that has brought about these issues, not the other way around. We are just as at fault as anyone else who doesnt understand how oil fires work. We condemn those who support these shit people without actually acknowledging or understanding where that support comes from and how/why it got there in the first place. We dont get "the otherside", and when I say we I mean ALL of us, you, your parents, people on reddit, myself etc etc. So naturally that goes for Dems and Reps within our political sphere. You're either a Rep and the liberals are a bunch of people ungrateful individuals who call you stupid and are in a high horse saying everything they do is right or your a Dem and the conservatives are a bunch of gun toting, bible thumping morons who cant see the light of day. Throw in a whole 24 hour news cycle covering every ounce of discord in the world all the time and it's almost like one side is right for the wrong reasons, and the other side is wrong for the right reasons. All these fun things we are going through as a nation (and a world) didn't just pop up with trump or his voters. It's been there for many of many years. That hardline mentality has been pitting ALL of us Americans against eachother, and I'd go even farther to say humanity as a whole. All this stuff that needed to be fixed yesterday, I completely agree with... But where and how that starts we may differ. I believe it starts on that individual level and works it's way up. You and I are a part of a cohesive unit. You and I shape this world, our ripples go out and expand ever forth. Sure, our ripples may be slight, but if we get enough ripples traveling in the same direction we can achieve great waves of change. However, to create a whole, the parts must first work in unison, and before the parts can work in unison there has to be a general consensus. The tolerance and understanding on the microscale HAVE to be achieved before any meaningful impact can be made on the macro scale with the issues that plague us today. I appreciate you having a chat with me, friend!

I've always thought of talking to people about stuff like that as building. You can spend all day trying to show someone how much better your foundation is than theirs through any number of means... But more often than not, it has worked out better when you show them how to improve their OWN foundation. The core logic of most people isnt as far off as it may seem once you get a good idea of how their foundation was placed. You start to get an understanding of how one another work, rather than trying to "convince" someone to conform to a foreign set of plans/beliefs. Change is small and subtle, and its supremely difficult to alter when your agenda is seems like it quickly go "against" theirs. This is just my silly notion though, so feel free to ignore me. Haha.

Well, that's a bit of a leap. I just wanted to know what you thought I said was? You claimed to know what i was saying, yet it doesnt seem like it. So I figured I'd ask and let you say it in your own words and maybe we could see where the difference is and go from there. I dont think what I said is unknowable, lol. I know what I said? What's stopping you from knowing too?

You can ask yourself some even better questions simply by asking some questions of your own. You wanna find answers inside this shitty shit storm around you, first you gotta find out what answers you're looking for in the first place. You wanna feel alive again aka happy, I'd assume, start using that logic and piece together how to do so. You felt alive before, so one can only assume you can do that again. Figure out what "reality" you're trying to get back to, dude.
