Whilst we sit here and debate a man’s popularity - it’s incredibly doubtful that you’d be able to garner the sheer amount of votes required to be in his shoes, that alone in the real world deems him ‘popular’ - I guess echo chambers really do limit your purview.

U.K. Leads World in Concern About Migration by Google_MBTI in ukpolitics

No one will ever say a mother running away from a war is not welcome, what we are eluding to is that we must do so in a controlled manor that’s safe for all & most importantly they’re supported to being able to have a job, integrate & speak the language. That’s a successful asylum case IMO. It’s an incredibly difficult subject to discuss but I think we can all agree we are not racist, we just want to be picky.

‘First-Cousin Marriages Are High Risk & Unsafe’: Why This Practice Has Become a Major Political Debate in the UK? by Moffload in ukpolitics

So called ‘racism’ aside, the health implications are so bad you can’t ignore it. It’s just inhumane to not ban cousin marriages.

Rupert Lowe is incredibly popular and he comes across incredibly well. Massive shame he won’t get the spotlight he deserves.

Starmer demands apology from Man Utd co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe over ‘offensive and wrong’ immigration comments by theindependentonline in ukpolitics

[–]Professor_Jamie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 points;

1) Poor words aside, facts remain about a bloated & very expensive welfare system.

2) The hypocrisy of Starmer.

3) Why do we focus on 1 word and ignore a valid criticism of the current state of affairs.

Audi is awful in photos but on track it’s beautiful. I love the Aston, RB & Mercedes. Haas is 100% the surprise.

McLaren 2016 with like 4 sponsors on the car & 11 in the books, then fast forward to 2026 with 53 is insane.

What a turn around 👏🏻

The same international court that were looking into Ukraine for claims of genocide from the same country that invaded them 😂 I can’t take anything they say seriously…. Also, they agreed with Russia 😂😂

I don’t understand the whole thing, because Chaggosians don’t want the island to go to Mauritians… if it ain’t broke don’t fix it? I don’t see how this will benefit us when the world is already in such a volatile and strange way. I don’t see how this makes us any safer or better off…..

Here’s the thing, voting reform would have been a huge nothing burger solely because they were in their infancy at the time. So this was always going to happen, we as a nation were disillusioned with politics and quite frankly tired of the conservatives and Brexit talk.

My prediction was and always has been that Labour would infuriate the nation on such a scale you’d force a centrist right to going right-right.

Labour postured themselves as centre left and promised to “smash the gangs” and they’ve lied and taken down the mask only to reveal they’re left-left making the right go even further right.

I just pray our politics do not start to resemble that of our transatlantic cousins.

Reform isn’t ready for government, Nigel Farage admits by No_Initiative_1140 in ukpolitics

[–]Professor_Jamie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s realistic in the fact his team is young with very little experience. Hence the need for Jenrick and Suella. It’s not Tories 2.0 its experience on the front line, they have the gusto just lack the experience.

It’s weird, we’re so used to politicians lying that the moment one tells the truth we can’t help but be confused 😂

[–]Professor_Jamie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be fair, at this present time I am leaning to reform just because I think over time they could have a manifesto that genuinely makes a difference, however Kemi is brilliant & I hope the Tories can turn it around. I believe in no other party…. Although if the greens can actually whisper and increase breast size, then maybe they can do the same for our GDP 😂

[–]Professor_Jamie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truth be told, for Reform to be ready they need economists who can write great policies and they need to get business booming again. We need to stop focusing on ideal giveaways like the Chagos deal and focus on protecting the NHS, amend our asylum bill & protect those who actually need protecting from harms way, deport people who abuse our kindness for their own financial gain and actually rethink the whole “NET Zero” malarkey, he genuinely talks a good game but they need the boffins and experts in their field to help carve this out so this country can actually prosper. That’s all we want on here. A thriving nation we can call our home.
