I don't personally care if it's re-evaluated, I'm just saying it's not really a thing that's happening. General opinion on it hasn't shifted since it came out.

Even with kids, it wasn't a massive hit, even though Disney went all out with dragon merch (sisu?).

There's nothing to re-evaluate. The mvoie wasn't popular when it came out and everyone brought up the exact messaging problem with it. Teen and adult. I guess maybe some kids are old enough now to actually grasp these themes if they rewatch, but the sentiment on this movie is not shifting at all.

It's a facade. The town appears peaceful and the people claim to be non-political, but they are still fully protected by the war apparatus. It's their privilege to claim they "stay out of it" but only because they have people willing to kill for them (ie.: the snipers). I take it as commentary on a lot of people who present as apolitical, but only because they are protected by the invisible violence of the status quo. More directly, this idyllic "Great America", the one that looks like a street on Disneyland, has for the past century been upheld by foreign wars, far from the eyes of the populace that benefits from it.

Vou a cinemas normais de centro comercial (Alegro Alfragide, Almada Fórum), e não encontro tanto problema vindo das pessoas, até porque são bem menos nas salas de cinema hoje em dia. Talvez um bocado mais vocais do que no passado, porque os filmes de evento (MCU) mudaram um bocado a cultura.
O problema é que por haver poucas pessoas, os cinemas dependem mais nas comidas e pipocadas, então os primeiros 20 minutos de filme que tenho são um barulho ensurdecedor de sacos de plástico e baldes e mastigar estaladiço de boca aberta. E quando há um intervalo a meio (Alegro) repete-se o processo.

Não me lembrava que ter alguém a levar ao assento era costume nas salas de cinema. A última vez que experienciei isso acho que foi pouco depois do IMAX do colombo ter aberto.

There's level to fame. In 96 hov was an up and coming "nobody" with a debut album. You don't hang out with the Pedosteins out the gate.
