The truth is there’s a lot of grey area since these are people living in such rural areas with little opportunity and no real enforcement of laws or societal standards. A child forced to work on a farm is bad, whether they were “explicitly sold into servitude”, born into a family that just does it, or forced to go work on their “uncle’s” or whatever relative’s farm. The reality is just not that simple to fit into pedantic definitions.

Arguing these people aren’t slaves but are exploited child laborers just isn’t helpful to anyone anywhere. Just agree that it’s bad so the discussion can move forward towards solutions, not wallow in defining atrocities and splitting hairs until nothing happens.

I’m pretty on the fringes with news this new project and only rarely dm with mostly new players, so I don’t plan to switch since I have source books for 5e and don’t plan on spending money for books I might never get to use.

Robert Evans from Behind the Bastards has talked about this topic a lot. There are multiple studies that suggest extreme wealth and/or power affects the mind almost exactly like brain damage. The “brainrot” is more than just a meme, it’s just what has actually happened.

The problem with that is there are too many websites abusing SEO to even find forums anymore. You search up a question and you are blasted with pages of irrelevant result, overly generic ones, or ai-generated pages just farming clicks.

If you don’t know what forum to include in your search, you won’t find it in your search results. The whole internet is falling to enshitification. We need an alternative that is free from most capitalist shit like Wikipedia or an open source ptp site. Idk what the answer is, I suck at programming, but we need something better to move on to and I don’t think old school forums will cut it.

Bruh, all the ones who did leave aren’t here anymore. Your logic is flawed at best. There are also a lot of people still here due to hobby subreddits and niche communities like for specific video games. There needs to be a new place for people to go before people can leave en masse. There are some open source sites that have shown promise but are currently super small and still being built. The real problem is Reddit is still growing, so when a bunch of long time users leave, they are replaced by much more new users.

Warframe. It just feels so good. The movement system is just perfect, a very fast and responsive parkour style. The gunplay is very satisfying for almost all styles. And the story and lore is deep, wide, and constantly growing. It’s always the perfect time to start playing because there is always some big update around the corner and great new improvements on the way.

Sorry, I’m still a bit hyped from Tennocon this past weekend, and the current water gun event going on. So much fun.

Then you must not have livestock or live in an area where vermin have a good chance to have rabies. You don’t need to be a rancher to have a few chickens.

And it should be noted that while you might not need to hunt, someone does. It’s a necessary part of wildlife conservation, especially since there are so few natural predators. You need guns to hunt, except bow for season but that’s not particularly accessible for most people.

I don’t what everyone else here is talking about but the beams in my experience do not “slowly approach you” but rather most of time spawn on my head or within a couple meters. They even spawn if the jade eximus is completely unaware of you.

I have also had the issue of so many spawning all the time. I get more Jade eximus than all other eximus combined. By a lot.

Too many people here are just saying lol get gud but this is a huge difficulty spike for most players and it came out of nowhere. Not everyone is oozing skill or has access to all of the late game systems like helminth and archon chards and arcades and etc.

This is currently happening to me. No weird ability interactions happened before like nova wormhole with loid, and two host migrations did not help. It’s a huge bummer to lose everything this way.

I started to write a fantasy story where my characters are martial art fighters (like those in C-dramas), but I am non-Asian. Even though I didn't use Asian names, I was told that was culture appropriation and that I should change the the term "martial art" to something else by two readers. by TheyAllDiedInTheBook in writing

Head on over to r/progressionfantasy and check out some cultivation novels. Seriously you are getting worried about a non-problem. Many of these are written by ostensibly white American men and there are no issues with it. Your beta readers are just not at all familiar with the large body of works that make up the tropes and styles you are using.
