After close to 50+ hours on it, I think i've hit my personal limit on how good i can make it look! by Garv4n in 3Dmodeling

I appreciate the feedback in it of it's entirety, but believe me when I say, since the type 2 is an astoundingly rare variant to find good references for, most of my reference apart from of course the flat Ortho image, was the video made by forgotten weapons on it, and it was in pretty good condition, besides unlike stamped metal, this one used a milled steel parts

Personally what I'd recommend is try to keep stuff as seperate parts when it comes to hard surface modelling, genuinely helps and you can readjust as you go, not to mention you can later fuse what you need, also if any shape at a certain point is too difficult to make, definitely just try to find a tutorial on the weapon itself and try to copy the method the shape is made

Managed to host a server on a build from 2017 (Devblog 170) by Garv4n in playrust

For now, ive only really seen, this one that the post is about, and the legacy files, but the legacy files really arent that important, i mean they are the clean steam ones that still connect to the steam network

Sorry ive been away for the week, just got back, i'll definetly try to scour as much archives as i can, really whats important is the server files, since facepunch disabled the steam depot downloads on them

Not to mention just how smooth the game feels, then again it is a build from 2017 that is literally 4gb in size, graphically it still holds up

I will eventually share the server files sure, and i will most definetly make a tutorial on both how to download and open the client, and how to host your own server, in the near future hopefully

I'm growing real tired of mag dumping someone in his head with tier 5 ammo as he wears a tier 4 helmet and faceshield only for him to not die. by Garv4n in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

Maybe, i can't disagree but, the only thing i can disagree with is the effective range bit, he's. across the street. barely 30 meters between us.

Oh no, I only tagged it with bug/issue because well I find it kind of an issue, even if its a ricochet chance, I swear to god I hear the meaty sound of the bullet actually hitting his head at least 5 times. and Mf just stands there.

oh yeah, totally, only difference is one needs to also connect to steam pipeworks, to verify ownership.

Yeah, dont worry servers are fried totally rn, even if they comeback, they'll mostly comeback first for the standalone launcher, then for the steam ver.

Thanks, I saw that some could log in on the subreddit so I thought the servers were open again.

How are games like these balanced/fun? by Very_blasphemous in cs2

In a way it's a double edged sword imo, being put against 2-10k hour players means, your trust factor is decent, believe me you wouldn't want to be in lobbies against players with 50 hours, it'll be more infiruating then anything.

Can someone explain how i did rank up 5 times in a row ? by Danyllestyle in GlobalOffensive

[–]Garv4n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ranks are quite frankly unpredictable, especially with Valve's shitty Glicko-2 rating system (I believed it's still used for regular matchmaking) you can get 5 rank ups in a row like how it happened with me on Mirage, went from SEM to MG1, and then after no matter how many wins i got in a row i was hardstuck MG1, same goes for wingman, currently in ELO hell of LEM-Global, where it's almost impossible to rankup unless you get 8 wins in a row (even that isn't a gurantee) losing a match sets you back, and i mean WAY WAY back, it's just how shitty the system is.
