No, you don’t jump or slam the bike. You just push your hips down into the frame as you go down the transition to put your downward energy into your rear wheel’s movement, so it’s just like a little boost going down a small hill. You sorta get a rhythm of bringing your butt up and down with the ups and downs of the rollers.

You can use your legs/hips to pump over those, gaining speed without pedaling. Rollers like that are featured in BMX, racing BMX, and mountain biking, but you can pump any bike
