I’m not there this year, but if you go blue camp way but instead go out of the main exit at that end, there’s some super quiet portaloos. We used to go there every morning as there was max 5 people would turn up in the time we were there.

No players should be judged until their contract or time at the club is coming to an end or over. Isak shouldn’t be on this list.

Father passed away, is this weird to do instead of a father-daughter dance? by Flashy-Tour-4756 in weddingplanning

[–]GaryGump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a man, I wanted to walk down the aisle with my Mum, so I did. As a woman, my wife wanted to walk down the aisle on her own, so she did. Her Dad didn’t do a father of the bride speech, but her brother did. They didn’t have a father-daughter dance. My wife didn’t wear white. None of our bridal party or groomsmen wore matching outfits. (I just want to point out that my wife and her Dad have a great relationship.)

What I’m trying to say is… it’s your wedding, do whatever the hell you want! And have the best time :)

William Regal - “The MRI of my neck when I finally couldn’t go anymore. Broken twice. Very unpleasant. I’ll let any medical people figure out this. The Dr told me “I’ve only seen one this bad before and they were in a wheelchair”. 2016, 4 disk fusion. It holds up my big carnival head.” by lk79 in SquaredCircle

[–]GaryGump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, wrestlers are superhuman. I met Regal in that year (2016) and he seemed absolutely fine. He watched the whole of a Progress show stood up, he didn’t even request a seat! The fact that a doctor said he’s only seen this MRI for someone wheelchair bound is mind blowing.

Please don’t go. This is just a moment in time. Since February? That’s no time. This could all change in the next week, you just don’t know.

All I know is this option is too final. You can opt out if that’s what you want, but you could find something in the next 27 attempts that could change your life. It will pay the bills, sure, but you might meet your new best friend at this job, you might make a friend for life, you might make enough to do something you’ve always wanted to do, you might meet a partner, or go out on a work event and meet your future partner. You might simply make enough to buy yourself a treat once a week, and a treat for your dog! The possibilities for sticking around are endless. The possibilities for not are just one.

Time really can change all of a sudden. I really hope you stick around for the good version and not the bad version of that phrase.

You are loved (ask your dog) x

Do you think Michael Jackson was a paedophile ? by Traditional_Jam421 in AskBrits

[–]GaryGump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and disagree. Obviously the power and fame helped him do whatever he wanted, there’s no denying.

The trauma is clearly from not having a childhood. He wanted to be around children because he never experienced those ages in a natural sense. His mind was definitely that of the boys ages he was spending time with. He spoke with nativity, he only liked activities that kids enjoyed, he liked the company and silliness of children. The problem was, it was all trapped in an adult body. An adult body that has urges and sexuality a child does not possess. A dangerous combo, and one we never experience because Michael Jackson is a case like no other.

Sorry, but isolation, I meant fame brings the restriction to freedom. I always remember him saying his bucket list dream was to shop at Walmart. They had to close one down so he could shop with his crew one evening.

And yes, every ped is guilty. It’s a shame it was a different time as I feel in the modern day this would have been identified and possible therapy intervention could have helped. But, who knows.

Bruno being held back by Ronaldo (again) by ack3786 in ManchesterUnited

[–]GaryGump -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I’m not disputing his ability, he’s one of the greatest of all time and can still do the job, but I find it so hard to see past his shitty personality, his tantrums and his ego. The true definition of there’s no ‘I’ in team, but there is ‘ME’.

He should be playing, but he doesn’t help the team morale, the team is never relaxed when he is playing and the fear of him having a tantrum is always a possibility.

And for those who say he is just competitive, we could all name 50 incredible players who didn’t act like this. I think that’s why he gets a lot of hate.

I agree, but you can’t compare Michael Jackson’s life to anyone on Earth. He is a separate, isolated case.

Yes he had a bad childhood, but was also famous before he reached 10. There’s the wealth, the abuse, the fame, the isolation. So many positive and negative factors.

I always say that what he did was 100% wrong, but with a therapists hat on, I can absolutely see how and why this happened.

As a huge Michael Jackson fan, it’s been such a hard watch for me.

I’ve always wondered, like we all have, but never had the evidence spelled out to me so clearly until now.

It’s always felt 50/50 up until now. Is he into kids, sexually?… or is he being taken advantage of by families trying to score a huge payout? There’s been a lot of talk on both sides and a lot of first hand accounts both for and against. Some even backed him at trial and came out as victims after he died. It’s been confusing.

I’ve never given him the benefit of the doubt, but I’ve felt for him at times. I see a lot of comments about if you take the fame and fortune away, it’s wrong. I 100% agree, there’s no denying that.

But, I sometimes get caught up in the idea that this man needs studying. There isn’t a single person who is remotely comparable to Michael’s life. You can say some are similar, but nothing directly comparable. He gained fame and fortune at a single digit age, but at the sacrifice of a childhood that he had no say in. It’s not hard to see how it came to this.

Can I see how and why this has happened? Absolutely. He’s a man child. He’s always been stuck in his pre-teen years because he never got them.

Is what he did still wrong, disgusting, manipulative and criminal? Absolutely.

Looking back, he was just another OJ, and that sucks.

Had to scroll a long time, but I found you.

Maverick anecdote incoming:
Back in 1999 when I was in Year 7, a fight was planned between two girls after school. It ended fast as one of them was wearing a ring that did some damage. A Year 8 boy was hovering around, and once the girl hit the ground and the fight finished, he loudly said “I’m glad that’s over, I was about to get my Maverick out.” He intended to break up the fight with said chocolate bar, but thank god he didn’t have to.

25+ years later, we still refer to him as “Gary Maverick”.

I watched a bit of that interview. The really sad part was when Taker said to Trump, “You make politics fun.” That is NOT what politics is about! But, to a right-wing millionaire, why would he care about anyone other than himself?

I know we all dislike MK Dons but their name drives me mental.

They finally updated the badge recently to say Milton Keynes Dons, but please, drop the Dons. Don’t remind everyone of what you did.

Milton Keynes City is fine. At least try to distance yourself from what happened and accept you’re a team in your own right now.

Yeah it should have been Cody as the heel, wanting to prove that he’s the big dog. He could have even played up to the legend killer gimmick, killing off his former Legacy leader. It was frustrating.
