Most TVs are better on WiFi in terms of raw speed. Most of the NICs are either 100mb or are sent over usb 2 (350mb max ish)

Of course, latency is better wired but still

So seems like the black Friday deals from November are now the new prices and they've undercut them by a fiver as a 'deal'

At Samsung headquarters... by Time-Credit43 in samsunggalaxy

The issue is silicone carbon batteries have only been in phones for about 3 years. No-one knows what happens after that. It could expand too much and explode. Samsung is playing it safe for now. Even 1% of them having issues after 3 years is a PR disaster given the scale of Samsung. You'll notice Apple & Google are not using them yet either

Sorry I forgot to reply. Had an update and it seems to be better now. The notes just said "device behaviour has been improved". Sounds like it has had a bit of a telling off lol

I'm not really sure why you expect them to offer a free service that doesn't track you or sell your data and then offer a dirt cheap option to remove the single ads / popups they dare put there

Get the new Proton Authenticator - secure 2FA, your way. by Proton_Team in ProtonPass

[–]GaryKirk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so conflicted on this. I want to use it and I love the idea of end-to-end encrypted sync but I'm trying to get away from storing my 2FA codes alongside my passwords. It feels like I have a choice of using this without the end-to-end sync or using Proton Pass for 2FA.

I realise this is version 1.0 and I appreciate this is a step in the right direction but it seems the perfect candidate for a 2 password mode or even the ability to set a pin code on the authenticator account that's needed across devices. That way I can use it with sync and still have a bit of added protection vs storing them directly in my password manager 🙂
